There never were any communist governments. They were totalitarian systems which labeled themselves communists. That does not mean they were.

Perhaps the closest would be socialist countries, like most of Europe (compared to the USofA)

And even then you need to define 'best'. European countries have other different priorities.

Sure, there will always be some people who have more then you have. Yes, there is a difference between rich and super rich.

The words you use until you try to live off it as one of the idle rich explain a lot. You also make a difference between rich and idle rich.

So please stop the rhetoric of saying that somebody with a $300k/year isn't rich, because somebody is even richer. It seriously sounds like the whining of "I want more."

    Compare that with
Hamburg to Munich 482 miles/775km 7 hours by car and 5:38 by train
LA to SF 382miles/615km 6:18 minutes by car and 12 hours by train
    This is not including traffic.

Huge advantage with trains is that they are from city-center to city, whereas airplanes seldom land in a city center. Add to that the check in and check out times, trains are very often the better option. Trains should compete with airplanes, not with cars.

    Short distance: car
    Medium distance: train
    Long distance: flying

So IF (and that is a big if) there would be a fast train between LA and SF, the travel time could be around 4.5 hours. In the US it could even be faster as there probably won't be as many stops. Hamburg-Munich has 8 stops.

Mind you: many people would still drive, just as many people still drive from Hamburg to Munich and for various reasons.

Assuming you are American, would it be ethical to take away jobs from people in NY and give it to people in Alaska? What if jobs move from Niagara Falls USA to Niagara Falls, CDN? Mexico?
What if the jobs go from Japan to the USA?

So it is all YOUR perception of how much you believe borders are important and location of the job is a given right. I believe neither, so for me there would be and is no reason I would hesitate on the ground of ethical reasons, although there probably would be many others.

Evolution does not happen in "a few generations". Social behavior however does. It could be that over many generations social behavior gets into our genes, IF there is a reason to do that.

However social circumstances are so much different even from generation to generation that that is extremely unlikely. "Living in a city" 200 years ago was something completely different then now or 500 years ago.

So it is not evolution that makes people easily adopt to western civilization. It is what they learned. It is the social structure.
