prospect of using the cr*p lawyers in the "state provided" attorney listing (for the most part they are, otherwise they would be in the private sector).
some people don't go into the private sector because they believe in offering their services for the good of the people as opposed to some money grabbing people out there.
even the not so brightest people in the world can hire bright people to earn money for them via the stock markets, etc. all for a fee of course but hey no one ever gets paid enough these days (or so they say).
making the lives of the children/descendants easier is giving them the means to make a fortune. by not giving them freebies so that they contribute more to society.
what i always wanted to do as an idea was to reset everybody's wealth after a few generations. this would mean that people would have to work harder instead of sitting back and waiting for their paps to die.
they didn't sell that many of ps2s at first. it was over the course of the product life. thus price will fall as time goes by and ps3 price will fall... it's inevitable.
economics? you know i submitted a request for an economics section for slashdot and it got rejected. just because this article was gaming related then it gets a mention on slashdot? is economics really not-geeky-enough for this crowd?
the one in belfast is cool. it's just down the street from me and instead of using the one at my place i walk down there to do my stuff and meet girls who are there spectating (they're jealous because they can't stand up to do it).
tbh how can you say cd32 was lame? cdtv was lame but cd32 was not.
"Often regarded as a failure, the CD32 managed to secure over 50% of the fledgling CD-ROM market in the UK in 1993 and 1994 outselling the MegaCD, Philips CDi and even PC CD-ROM sales."

if you look at a simple diagram of supply and demand to derive the market price, there's still hell of a lot of people willing to pay above market price which is much more than a tiny number of early adopters.

person A: want a duplicate copy of it?
person B: no thank you i've already got it.
hmmm... xbox didn't have a keyboard but that was essentially just a pc in a funky case and people didn't think that was lame (well, not much).
commodore always marketed them towards home entertainment than anything else.
if that's the case then the entire amiga troop was lame.
