Use openDNS and set up an account. Point your router's DNS settings to their servers. It allows a few different levels of filtering.
You can change the levels of filtering as she grows older.
Crossover Office runs Quicken well. I run Quicken Basic 2003 and it does everything I ask of it.
I purchased Quicken 2006 but haven't tried it yet under Crossover Office.
I never switched to a mac because I need to run Act!. It runs great under Crossover Office and linux so should run as well on the mac.
Hurry up new mac!
I download the program and tried to install it. I use Firefox as default browser. The software said it wouldn't install unless IE 6.0 was installed on the computer.
It's a great letter but is he preaching to the choir? I didn't read this in my daily newspaper nor do I recall seeing it at news.google.com.
How do we get this message out to the mainstream?/. readers already know this. How do we educate the rest of the world without becoming zealots?
I've purchased my last Microsoft product after reading Balmer's comments. Virtually all my music is either ripped from my cd's or purchased from iTunes.
I absolutely agree that you should rent your equipment. You can have a better choice of lenses, tape decks, tripods and lights than you could afford to purchase. If this film is succesful, then you car rent newer/more modern/better/ stuff for the next video.
I just read this press release by Xandros http://www.xandros.com/news/press/release24.html It is as follows:
Acadia University Provides Xandros Desktop OS on Dell Laptops to Undergraduate Students
Easy-to-use Xandros Desktop OS is the Linux Distribution of Choice for Unique Notebook Driven Program
NEW YORK, NY -- Xandros, the leading developer of easy-to-use Linux solutions, and Acadia University today announced that Acadia University selected the Xandros Desktop Operating System (OS) as the Linux distribution of choice for its undergraduate students. The innovative Canadian university offers a customized version of the Xandros Desktop OS on Dell D600 laptops as part of its unique teaching and learning environment which is providing 9,000 notebook computers over three years to its students and faculty.
"Acadia students depend on their notebooks to complete their coursework and participate in class," said Dr. Gail Dinter-Gottlieb, President and Vice-Chancellor of Acadia University. "With the Xandros Desktop they can feel comfortable in conducting research and completing assignments. Xandros provides flawless wireless connections, while off campus students and faculty can dial in to our extensive campus network."
"We needed a total Linux solution for both faculty and students," said Mike Grimm, Atlantic Region Account Executive for Dell Canada. "We found that the Xandros Desktop provided excellent network integration and ease of use, plus it works flawlessly on our Latitude laptops enabling the students of Acadia to meet their challenging day-to-day computing requirements."
"Acadia's commitment to innovation is evident across academic disciplines through its technology-rich teaching and learning environment that integrates university-supplied notebook computers into the undergraduate curriculum," said Dr. Frederick H. Berenstein, Xandros Chairman and CTO. "We are honored to be the Linux desktop of choice for the Acadia's unique program and look forward to an ongoing relationship that keeps both Acadia and Xandros in the forefront of technological innovation."
Acadia's students receive Dell Latitude D600 notebooks for use during the academic year, and their computers become an integral part of their learning experience. The Xandros Lab has certified the Xandros Desktop OS on the Dell D600 model, including the detection and operation of wireless network cards and other peripherals.
Dr. Berenstein added that "we believe that Linux will play an enormous role in the educational market, as it offers schools and universities a cost-effective, stable and secure computing environment for their students. Software applications being developed for the educational market are amazingly useful, incredibly compact and fast. And with twenty-five countries voting to wire their school systems to the Internet with Linux, there will soon be hundreds of millions of students surfing the net with Linux on their desktops."
The Xandros Desktop OS provides students and teachers with a familiar set of tools that integrate seamlessly with existing Windows environments and wireless networks. For educational options and site licenses, please contact schools@xandros.com

I've used Xandros 2.0 for about 4 months and love it. The install was easy although I didn't do the express/4 clicks as I wanted some control over partitions, etc.
The only things that are "broke" out of the box are Real One Player (and their support site tells how to fix this with Realplayer 8) and the fact that it won't play dvds as shipped.
You don't have to use opera and installing mozilla is very easy with the Xandros Networks.
I highly recommend it for someone who wants a linux distro that works--vs one to be worked on.
I heard someone hacked Hillary's emails as well.
I'm a Debian user so I like the results but 33% seems a little skewed? I'm surprised the Ubuntu/Mint distributions didn't have more votes.
Find out if the company has a registered agent in your state, and if so, sue them in Small Claims Court.
"Wha, yeah!, c'mon, yeah, yeah, c'mon, yeah I'm a back door man, I'm a back door man The men don't know, but the little girl understand"
Everyone knows Macs don't get virus right? ;-)
I think you can use another DNS setting on an individual computer that will override the default router setting only on that computer.
Use openDNS and set up an account. Point your router's DNS settings to their servers. It allows a few different levels of filtering. You can change the levels of filtering as she grows older.
I thought after Ford dumped their "Vincent" system, OS2 was dead. Does anyone use it anymore and, if so, why? There are so many great alternatives.
Looking for a mirror. This is too new to have "cashed" copies on google. Thanks!
That's a shitload of WRT543Gs!

I read the book today and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I download the program and tried to install it. I use Firefox as default browser. The software said it wouldn't install unless IE 6.0 was installed on the computer.
I thought Al Gore invented the Macintosh Graphing Calculator?

That's a lot of money for some pussy.
I've purchased my last Microsoft product after reading Balmer's comments. Virtually all my music is either ripped from my cd's or purchased from iTunes.
I can't wait to take mine to the next lan party.
Can this stuff be used to line condems?
What does it mean that I still use a plastic pocket protector?
Even when I do everything right--I'm wrong!
