I wish Google Wallet were that simple. My usual Rite Aid experience has been:
- Pull phone out of pocket. - Unlock phone. - Tap phone to NFC reader. - Unlock Google Wallet. - Due to poor cell signal in store, app takes a long time to connect. - Transaction doesn't go through. - Put phone back in pocket. - Pull wallet out of pocket. - Pay with a credit card anyway.
Two Presidents have ever been impeached. Andrew Johnson (succeeded Lincoln after his assassination) and Bill Clinton. Johnson resigned before his Senate trial No, Johnson was acquitted by one vote. It's in the very article you linked to:
My Xbox didn't red-ring, but instead was scratching discs at an alarming rate and rendered my copies of several games unplayable. When I sent mine in for repair they gave me a new unit, but all my XBLA games and purchased video on my hard drive played perfectly on the new unit.
My bigger problem was getting them to reimburse me for my lost month of Xbox Live and the destroyed non-MS game discs...

I bought a 160GB Classic on Sunday (the 60GB iPod Photo I've had for two years had 11MB free, and I was waiting until they broke the 100GB barrier to upgrade), and tried to do what I did when I bought the 60GB iPod Photo that replaced my original 20GB 3G - copy the iPod_Control directory over to the new iPod. I didn't want to have to re-enter ratings for 60GB worth of songs, and I didn't really want to lose my play counts, either. The end result? The new Classic had a cow - it told me I had zero songs, and iTunes recommended a full Restore, much like what happened in TFA. I ended up using Senuti to pull everything off my old iPod (play counts and ratings included), pump it into iTunes, and copied everything over to the Classic manually.
I understand that Apple wants everyone to use iTunes to manage their music and movie collections, but even back in the days of my 20GB 3G, I had no desire to allow iTunes to auto-fill my iPod. It's nice that they allow you to manually manage your media, but because I do I have to jump through flaming hoops every two years or so when it's time to upgrade to a larger-capacity iPod.
EA Sports has already done this with Fight Night Round 3: Burger King, Dodge, Everlast, Under Armour, three different ESPN achievements, and the ubiquitous EA Sports achievement.
My mom was an avid gamer. She didn't pwn n00bs in Halo or anything, but she was a devoted Super Mario Bros. addict, from SMB1 through SMB Sunshine. Even before the NES, she loved Astrosmash and Burger Time for the Intellivision. And my dad thought those video games were for me and my brother...
I still miss those phone calls I used to get from her when she'd ask me how to get past a boss or particularly difficult part of the game.
My mom did it on a steady diet of Super Mario (Brothers/World/64/Sunshine), Banjo-Kazooie (and sequels), and Ice Climber (and occasionally Wheel Of Fortune). Before the NES it was Astrosmash and Lock 'n' Chase for the Intellivision, and occasionally Jumpman for the C64. She and I both agreed that the mental stimulation and the hand-eye coordination required to keep playing kept her mind sharp, even if she needed me to get past the really tough parts.
Unfortunately, Verizon cripples their phones so that you have to use their fee-based service (profit!) in order to add new ringtones
Bull.
If you have MMS enabled you can e-mail MIDI files to your phone (tendigitphonenumber@vzwpix.com). Granted, it costs you 25 cents for every MMS message (small profit!), but I was able to send myself nine ringtones per message.
If you want to do MP3s, make sure they're 64 kBits, 24 kHz, Joint Stereo, and renamed to.MID as opposed to.MP3. E-mail as above.
All this and you don't have to potentially violate your Verizon TOS!
Ever since I drained my initial $10 investment, I've tried using Paypal, but it always tells me "Sorry. Service temporarily unavailable." It's been "temporarily unavailable" for at least 9 months...
Personally, I don't understand the problem. I missed West Wing 2 weeks ago because Lost is on at the same time (unknown to me, but TIVO did it), so I downloaded it from NG. Wouldn't the networks WANT me to keep up to date on my zombie-ness in keeping up with "must-see tv" ?
Yeah, if it meant you were still watching the commercials. Most downloaded programs cut those out.
The networks would much rather have you wait until the DVD boxed set comes out so you can buy what you watched for free eight months prior.
Technically, an election isn't over until the electoral college meets on December 13, 2004 (the Monday after the second Wednesday in December). At which point the electors are not bound to the results of their state as to who to cast their vote towards.
26 states require their electors to vote according to the winner of their state's popular vote totals, and there are supposedly some severe penalties for those who don't. Of course, it's never been an issue, because the parties are very careful about who they choose as electors.

So you're willing to watch total crap as long as it's in the form of a Japanese cartoon?

Remember a few months ago when they announced that Settlers was coming to XBLA? What ever happened to that?
Were they too afraid of people filing complaints over people yelling "I've got wood for sheep!"?

So clearly this isn't for the cost-conscious smut peddler.
