    Where do you all keep finding these "bad" mp3s?

    I haven't found a single bad (as in bad name, riaa subverted etc etc) mp3 file in years. (On Soulseek and Direct Connect). And nobody I know (as in non-techy irl friends) has problems finding good mp3s.

    Actually, none of the previous previews have used the controversial theme by default. It only happened to people who had installed one of the earlier previews (dont remember which), changed to the "human" theme and then dist-upgraded into rc1.
    At least that's how I understood it, I could be wrong though.

    Actually it wouldn't. In 99% of the cases, the poor download rates is caused by either your ISP capping your connection or your modem/router.

    Actually, I use a laptop with a busted monitor as a router and web/ftp/smb/mysql-server. Runs great.

    and they don't need to worry too much about paying customers sending spam since they must provide a credit card, and thus are traceable.

    Yeah, we're lucky those internet criminals don't know how to use other peoples credit cards.. phew...
