But changing batteries all the time is plain rediculous, especially when they're not even run down yet! If the controller is decent, it'll have an indicator on it, even if it's as simple as the orange LED on Nintendo's WaveBird, it helps a LOT.
That's like cheating, no? You practically guaranteed to win with a mouse compared to a joystick. Seriously. If I knew anyone who used one of these, I would seriously kick their ass. It's just not right.
If you really wanna play an FPS on your TV with a keyboard and mouse, check out Quake 3 for the Dreamcast, or hook your computer up to your TV via S-Video.
Well, see, I did click the link, but all I saw was "ArcadeControls.com" at the top. Taking a second look, however, and I see that BYOAC is both a subtitle to that AND the main forum title. Damn, never realized I was so non observant.
If you've been using a pair of batteries in a controller for a while and plan on playing for quite a while, change the batteries to fresh ones, put the other batteries on the side, and use them for shorter sessions until you run out.;) It's clever use of a four-pack for AA's. Then again, I'm not 100% sure on controller battery life, as I'm sure these controllers won't have screens.
Or, um, you could, you know, use the batteries all the way, switch, and then use the new ones all the way?
What's this press space crap? The CDs I use don't ask me. Infact, the only bootable CD i have that asks me if I want to boot from it is the WinXP CD. I wanna keep it that way.
The video game market started to decline, however, even after Atari introduced their new console. It was Nintendo's NES that revived the market here in the US. An interesting tidbit: Nintendo was originally going to market the NES under the Atari name, but then decided not to. Makes one wonder what would have happened had they gone with Atari?
High end cames on your cellphone? Tell me when I can buy a cellphone with a Geforce 6800 PCI-e (heck, I'll settle for a Geforce 2 MX in a cellphone) in it, and then maybe we'll talk high-end games.
The Xbox is 750ish megahertz. When it came out, I was gaming along on my 2ghz computer. That's quite a bit of a difference. However, with the way processors have been lately (little to no increase in speed), the PS3 will probably close that gap between console and PC speeds quite a bit when it finally comes out. I doubt processor speeds will increase enough to create the gap that exised between the Xbox (numerically the fastest console) and decent computers of the time.
Since when is it wrong to use a competing product? If I were to work at McDonald's I would eat Wendy's a LOT. McDonald's food sucks. The story's a bit different with my current job, however. I work at the local AMC theater. There's no way I'm gonna go to a Star theater for the simple fact that it would cost me money to see a movie and that I prefer the AMC experience to other theaters. Anyway. IF I worked at Microsoft, I would use an iPod if I felt it were the superior product. Just as if I worked at Apple, I would use an MS-based MP3 player, if I felt it was the superior product.
Steam is the reason I'm not buying HL2 as well. All of my friends say I should get it, but I do NOT want to deal with the shit that they put up with. They complain about Steam all the time, but then they insist that I get the game. I'm not gonna get something that they complain about!
What market have they blundered themselves out of already? They make software and consoles and handhelds. They are still in those markets. OK, sure, they used to make playing cards way back when (maybe they still do in Japan?), but I'm sure they didn't "blunder" their way out of that market.
Mozilla 1.2? That's better than nothing. At least you have the option do use it (and even boot into into Linux!). I just go to a lowly highschool, so they don't really care about anything there.

Really? I haven't come across any...

Last I checked, Windows XP doesn't run on an Apple laptop.

Bring Your Own... Anonymous Coward??
Wow, you guys will get your panties in a twist about anything, huh?
Oh yea, especially when it involves Microsoft doing anything "controversial" or different.

Or one plug: Plugs into the Xbox AND charges it! That would actually be pretty neat.

iFlush? Can we say, lazy?

So when has a browser that doesn't follow standards been a good browser?
All your iPod Shuffle RAID are belong to us. (that we can make an uber iPod Shuffle RAID!)

Late 2006?

I dare you to set up and install WordPress (and the required components) on a Windows machine then. I betcha it'll be at least five times harder.

Nor does Pepsi complain about being #2 to coke in sales.
That's because Pepsi doesn't sell coke.

Depends on how you look at it. What are the possible outcomes? The positives and the negatives. It all depends.
So, what are the reasons to run Linux on Mac Mini? Because you can.
Doesn't the iPod also support USB?
