I don't get why they have a checkpoint system, its totally useless to me. Since im used to games like Half-Life and any other game you simply hit F5 or F6 to save your exact spot. Games like Mass Effect on 360 have save game manually still (through hitting pause) but sooo many games now only save your checkpoint, they don't save your exact location after battling a horse of monsters/enemy's and having 10life left. If you save after some chaotic moment and the checkpoint/save spot is through even more chaos, you absolutely cannot save where you desire. I hate redoing things ive already done in a game (Call of Duty 3, 4, 5 are good at this annoyance) I would still prefer to be able to hit start and SAVE my EXACT location with my ammo and life bar where they are at. So when i die i dont have to redo some stupid fight with 100 soldiers poking their heads out of a trench tossing grenades at me.
A lot seem angered and frustrated by the fact that they cannot move their 360 while its on with a disc in the drive. I don't understand, what's their "need" to move it around while its on? I have both a ps3 and 360, they have not moved an inch from their spot since i purchased and set them up on my television stand, why? because i see no reason to move them...logically speaking of course, but some people lack this simple logic and i/point and/laugh at them.
Honestly if you scratch a disc by moving the console while its running, spinning the disc, then your truly a moron to the highest degree. Unless your obsessive compulsive and cannot keep your 360 in 1 position for more than a minute, then your still a moron.
Grand theft auto classic and grand theft auto 2, both available free from R*'s website, as well as VDoom (open source doom, hexen, doom 2), and Wolfenstein Enemy territory.
This only effects those who are not used to the climate, the Sherpa trek up and down that mountains as guides etc.. without much effort when compared to the foreigners who attempt to climb.
I installed Mass Effect, and also noticed it no longer has the random "loading" segments, I'm pretty sure Oblivion and larger games will no longer have the random 1-2sec pauses to load data.
There's no pausing, or scenery pop-up's anymore, it plays EXACTLY like the ps3 version does, the initial loading of the game when you start it up is the same no matter what system or drive its played from, that's just the intro. Its just those black screens that say "loading" that are reduced by several seconds, can expect more improvements as they roll out patches for the games to optimize them for this feature.
If you want to have lots of fun with Half-Life, get Half-Life Source, its got the physics, then just grab the HD pack off of steam as well to give it a small boost in visuals.
-Haven't fixed the glaring file management bugs - it's not possible to do something like, say, delete 150 old Oblivion saves to reclaim disk space while keeping 5 of them without pressing 4 buttons for each individual savegame. Not a problem until you realize they're over a megabyte apiece, and on a 20gb hard disk this adds up fast.
This is why you make 4 save games and just keep overwriting them instead of making a new one everything, a habit Ive gotten into since Ive started playing games, i never have more than 3-4 save games which i just overwrite in a certain order. There's no need at all to have more than 5 saves for whatever reason.
yup dangerous shit indeed, i have friends who work up north in Alberta on the rigs and you MUST have your H2S certificates to work there pretty much, and carry a monitor on you at all times. Once you smell it, its too late.
Want me to kick your ass in Crysis with my 360 controller on PC? It's not hard, its just an acquired skill that is usually adopted by playing Goldeneye 64 constantly for years.
There are those who can and those who can't. Those who can't criticize controllers.
I don't know what that guy did but when my 360 failed after 3 years of use just now, I sent it in, kept my hard drive here. When i got my replacement I simply put the hard drive back on and i was back in business playing my games and had all my old data is still there and full functional, including all my music I ripped from cd's and they still played.
Epic games has already done this with UT3, previous UT games had the cd detection removed. Doom 3 and Quake 4 also got protection removed with patches from ID. Whats good is lots of games are available through Steam, which means no protection at all, if its one thing i do hate is having to get a new no-cd crack for an updated version of a game. Adding no-cd features to a games v1.1 update or initial release should be mandatory imho.
Congress only has power in their own country, NASA can't just work in conjunction with the Canadian Space Agency and do their research here, after all he have the best testing ground for mars related stuff up in Nunavut. Congress pretty much has no control over what goes on up here in the great white north.
Well there area a lot of natural products out there, just governments would rather sell us pills than let use use the natural remedy, mainly due to the fact...they cannot tax 99% of the natural remedy's we can acquire. They can't tax pot, which is why its illegal, not because its a drug, but because the government makes no money off of it.
A while back when the HD-DVD player came out i read an article about the drive having the capability and enough bandwidth with that USB cable to be able to play games if Microsoft wanted to, and HD-DVD is a lot of data being sent along that cable already when playing the movie.
So it could be something that can happen, all they would have to do is release an update that makes it so, and by then i bet the HD-DVD drive would cost around $100 making it worth getting.
But more than likely they would make the Hard Drive mandatory for certain games and ship games on 2 DVD's one is an install disc the other is the play disc and the space problem is solved.
I actually smashed every med station and left whatever med kits there and came back and got them when i needed them, due to stations sometimes dropping 2 usually but sometimes more. I hated it when splicers would heal up at med stations. But pretty much everything else i did hack.

Gene Simmons invented everything and owns all patents, or at least he claims to according Dee Snider.

Heres a pretty brain dead solution, don't move your console while its running with a disc in the tray.

Does this mean the nanosuit from Crysis may actually become a reality in the near future?
we can always make the cars out of used Popsicle sticks and chewing gum, and save some garbage in the process.
I have a feeling this whole buying thing has to do with 2k sports, EA's only rival in the sports games.

Gotta love Northern logic, it makes sense, unlike Southern logic.
