  1. Ratings are not consistant on Parents 'ignore game age ratings' · · Score: 1

The problem I have with ratings is that they are not consistant. How is it that a game like Halo is M with a bit of blood and language, and games like Hitman: Contracts are also M! The game a fetish party in it. I always go by the content, not by the rating.

  2. Focus issues! on Hollywood Going Digital and 3D · · Score: 1

The problem with filming these movies is that only the objects the camera(s) focus on are in focus to the viewer. Hence if the camera is focused on the main actor, and you look at the supporting character, he will be out of focus even though you are looking directly at him! Thats my problem with this technology

  3. Re:The Arguement on Equal Time For Creationism · · Score: 0, Flamebait

Granted, but when you get right down to it. Let's be frank. People to not want to believe in ID because it puts them in a place where they have to be answerable to someone. And that makes them uncomfortable. If God exists and we are created by Him than we are bound to follow what he says about life and the way we live it, or suffer the consequences. Evolution is basically an excuse for those who would rather not think about what they will have to say to God someday. Look what has happened in the past few years: AIDS is on the rise due to the large amount of homosexuality (the leading cause of AIDS) We have (in the US) slaughtered millions of children via abortion. We have shootings at schools. 50% of women graduating from some colleges have STDs because of pre-marital sex. These are issues that God has allot to say about. But if God does not exist, or if he did not create us than we do not have to answer to him, and none of the above issues matter. Yes, God has given us the right to choose what path we want to follow, but in the end there is only One Way to Him. All others will lead to Hell. Evolution was the beginning of our modern decline because it removed our responsibility to God. Yes I support Equal time for Creationism, becasue maybe, just maybe it will turn our nation back to God. Now, let the flamewar begin ;-)

I'd like to see IBM make some inexpensive ($2000) PowerPC workstations (like the PowerMac G5). PowerPC seems to be a nice processor. Especialy if it has a decent OS behind it. If we could get some solid Linux support for a IBM PowerPC workstation, it would be able to do some nice video processing. Look at how good Apple did, even with a hacked (thrown together) OS.

When Starcraft was rated T for Blood, Gore, and Mild Language. Give me a break, TA is no where near as offensive as Starcraft. And Descent III? Rated E. Sure some of the ratings are accurate, Doom3 is M. But so's FarCry. I'd never play Doom3 but FarCry is great. Really, with a few exceptions, the ESRB ratings are a big mess.
