The problem I have with ratings is that they are not consistant. How is it that a game like Halo is M with a bit of blood and language, and games like Hitman: Contracts are also M! The game a fetish party in it.
I always go by the content, not by the rating.
The problem with filming these movies is that only the objects the camera(s) focus on are in focus to the viewer. Hence if the camera is focused on the main actor, and you look at the supporting character, he will be out of focus even though you are looking directly at him!
Thats my problem with this technology
Granted, but when you get right down to it. Let's be frank.
People to not want to believe in ID because it puts them in a place where they have to be answerable to someone. And that makes them uncomfortable.
If God exists and we are created by Him than we are bound to follow what he says about life and the way we live it, or suffer the consequences.
Evolution is basically an excuse for those who would rather not think about what they will have to say to God someday.
Look what has happened in the past few years:
AIDS is on the rise due to the large amount of homosexuality (the leading cause of AIDS)
We have (in the US) slaughtered millions of children via abortion.
We have shootings at schools.
50% of women graduating from some colleges have STDs because of pre-marital sex.
These are issues that God has allot to say about. But if God does not exist, or if he did not create us than we do not have to answer to him, and none of the above issues matter.
Yes, God has given us the right to choose what path we want to follow, but in the end there is only One Way to Him. All others will lead to Hell.
Evolution was the beginning of our modern decline because it removed our responsibility to God.
Yes I support Equal time for Creationism, becasue maybe, just maybe it will turn our nation back to God.
Now, let the flamewar begin;-)
If OSX was allowed to run on just any PC hardware, Quality Control would go through the floor (as it has with Windows). Ant QC is somthing Linspire really doesn't know that much about...
I'd like to see IBM make some inexpensive ($2000) PowerPC workstations (like the PowerMac G5). PowerPC seems to be a nice processor. Especialy if it has a decent OS behind it. If we could get some solid Linux support for a IBM PowerPC workstation, it would be able to do some nice video processing.
Look at how good Apple did, even with a hacked (thrown together) OS.
I don't know about all of you, but I welcome this news! Now whenever we decide to go back into 'nam and to it right, we have any easy way to take down their complete IT systems!
US Computer Hacker: Sir, what virus would you like me to use today for our attack.
General: I don't care, pick a random one from the 100,000 available choices...
If they go to Itanium it looks like I'll be buying one... I've always been a big fan of the Itanc line, if they could tame that beast, It would be one killer workstation... Almost as good as a Opteron workstation...
But imagine dual Itancs running OSX and FCP. Killer machine...
What if the person in question was a him instead of a her. It bugs me how some people have to be so politicaly correct sometimes...
Okay, give me a point for being off-topic now...
But the specs are impressive this time. I don't care what anyone says, a triple core 3.2Ghz PPC CPU is quite the processor. And don't tell me people were that impressed with the original Xbox hey it was a Celery 700.
ESRB has always been an unintellegable mess. What really constitutes a T rating? I remember having a copy of TA (Total Annihilation) that was rated T for "Animated Violence". When Starcraft was rated T for Blood, Gore, and Mild Language. Give me a break, TA is no where near as offensive as Starcraft. And Descent III? Rated E.
Sure some of the ratings are accurate, Doom3 is M. But so's FarCry. I'd never play Doom3 but FarCry is great.
Really, with a few exceptions, the ESRB ratings are a big mess.
Yeah, I catch your drift. Let me be more blunt a physical relationship should be between one man and one woman under the "umbrella" of marriage, for life. No divorce, no extramarital relationships, no sex before marriage, and no "homosexuals". And I don't even like using that word because it implies that they can't help themselves (which is a lie)
Want to know my view on marriage? Read Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy from the Bible.
Yeah! Finally Microsoft does somthing I actualy like. No this is not a troll, I just really have firmly beleive that so called "gay rights" are wrong. Sodomy should be outlawed.
Couldn't someone have said the same thing about Apache and any other opensource project. No, Linux will never kill. Windows, but who cares? Just like SGI will never really die, but it's all but dead right now.
Really./ posts like this are really useless. It reminds me of the first Presidential Debate last year, the entire thing consisted of "yes you did" and "no I didn't". Like a bunch of fighting kids.
If this./ article is not flamebait, I don't know what is.
I'm interested in seeing how XGI will do with full opensource support. I'd think the opensouce community should be able to help XGI optimize it's drivers. Sure ATI/NVIDIA will still rule the Windoze gaming market, but I can see a cult following developing behind XGI real soon.
I heard of a guy once that shot a stack of six HDs with a shotgun. The slug shattered the first five, and came to rest in the center of the sixth. Makes a great conversation peice... but I degress.

You really should see this article:

OS X may look nice, but internaly it's a mess...

No, Microsoft does not have a monopoly on anti-virus software, they just have a monopoly on virii. They won't run on anything but Windows!
Look on NewEgg I just got a GeForce6600 reburb for $85 (including shipping/handling). The thing runs like a dream.

Right, thats /. not ./
Boy do I feel sheepish
Man now I can't put a big 1 mile by 1 mile sign up with the two ASCII characters ./
Talk about no freedom of speech.

At least their system is not un-ethical like many of our laws today...

Showed it to my co-worker. It started cool and then went corny very fast. As he said, the last line on the screen be "And yes we are hiring"
Look at the benchmarks on the web. Yes these things may not be P4s but they aren't that bad.
This is a good starting place. "I have a dream" that someday we can have open hardware as well as software (aka www.opencores.org).
I heard of a guy once that shot a stack of six HDs with a shotgun. The slug shattered the first five, and came to rest in the center of the sixth. Makes a great conversation peice... but I degress.
Well, the new Itainiums have about upto 12MB of cache (or is it the new SUN Niagras). Almost there!
