What if, what if, what if. This article could have been posted when Earth came out, or GMail, or even Desktop Search. There can always be speculation, why now?
The planet has approximately 7.5 times the mass of the Earth, double its radius, and orbits its parent star once every two days. This is the most Earthlike extrasolar planet discovered so far.
We've got a ways go to if this is the most earthlike one. This was detected via the "wobble" method; how advanced are other methods of extrasolar planet detection methods?
30kbps...25...20...
We are witnessing the dreaded/. effect, ladies and gentlemen! Quite a sight indeed! If you look far off into the west, you can see the mushroom clouds from the server hosting the file...
The comment on only one Battleground being released first is incorrect, Caydiem (Blizzard Dev) has been quoted as saying that at least 2 will be available at launch. We've also been promised that BG will be available in the next patch, but if not, definitely the second.
However, considering Bliz's past on these promises, I dunno. I fully respect Bliz for everything they've done, and I don't whine at them when they don't fulfill their promises. As long as the game servers stay up (which they do now, amazing uptime since last major patch), I don't complain. Even when they are, I don't really complain. People just need to learn to cope with the company. Bliz has been good with giving us time credit based on downtime, so saying that you're losing money isn't really all that good of an argument...
Screw that, wake me up when the developers find a more inobtrusive place for the power switch. I don't want to accidently turn off\reset my Persocom while I'm uh... utilizing it to its fullest capacities. Yeah.
Oh yes, because every game I play involves a race of creatures from hundreds of thousands of years ago being tricked by an alien being into thinking it was their ally, then smashing an asteroid into the planet. Also, I love how every game has planets depicted as living beings, with health and sickness. And gotta love the political conspiricies in every other game I play, you know, alongside all the rest of the story.
It might be fanboy\girl-ed to death, but it is still an incredible game, and original to boot.
I know I'm probably going to be rated down for not being all-knowing, but could someone try to explain this in a bit more simplific terms? I know what the dual-slit experiment was, but I don't understand the purpose of this particular one.
This is hilarious, I am quite literally watching the download speed of the video on their page dwindle down to nearly nothing. Ah, the power of the SlashDot effect
I'd prefer a smaller player, and something where I don't have to wrestle with encoding and audio ripping and stuff. DVD authoring is such a daunting task that this nice 8x DVD-R I got has been used for nothing but data storage. I havn't even bothered trying to burn a CD... which is why I'd prefer putting a movie file on a memory stick so I can watch it in a nice compressed format.
I dunno, that's just my opinion. I really don't know how PSP is going to do. It might fall flat on its face, but then again, it may do really really well. I guess we'll see:p
PSP also has VoIP, along with 802.11b (i forget what DS uses to connect, but I don't think its 802 standard? correct me if i am wrong please)
PSP also can play movies in a nice compact format (again, i am out of information on this), and i don't really mind med-low quality on a small screen like that, so you could probably compress one of the LoTR movies down to a gig and play it off a memstick pro duo 1gb. at least that's what I plan to do:)
PSM ran a test on their imported PSP and got a 5.5hr gametime on Ridge Racer 4, with almost 100% in-game time.
That's a pretty anemic vampire you got there
But think about it. Humans have a volatile life span, and a very unreliable memory compared to computers. This way, at least some of the dance may be preserved even if nobody learns it\teaches it. It's a way of preservation for people of the future to perhaps learn.

I didn't RTFA, however, the WoW servers recently got an upgrade and I havn't run into any lag or queues since.
The expanded storage which will be available in mid-April will enable Yahoo to catch up with online search engine leader Google.
No, it won't.

Is it even necessary to try and make a joke at the expense of the article title?

Too bad they couldn't make use of that extra spatial dimension for more bandwidth.

Might want to hop off the bandwagon there, it tends to burn quite nicely later on
its probably fake, but wouldn't it be so nice if it was real? Maybe, just maybe, Moore's law has caught up with batteries?

More pr0n for me!
nope, that's a different service :P
Linux goes open source!!!
Stuttering problem was fixed about 3-4 patches ago. :)
Awesome. My girlfriend is getting me a Flash drive for Christmas, and I expect this will be the first thing on it :)
Have they updated image search yet?
