Careful there, just because something isn't science doesn't mean its false(or true). Science at its core is a system of observations and predictions. How that system pertains to "truth" is a very interesting and very complex branch of philosophy and should be discussed in Philosophy class. Sadly philosophy is often absent from modern education....
You are half right though, Creationism certainly is NOT science and thus should not be taught in science class. It cannot be observed or predicted, thus cannot be tested by the scientific method.
I never actually understood the executives obsession with the 2nd hand games market. The amount of re-investment there has to be huge. Everyone I know that sells their games just goes and buys new games with the money they collected. Sure there will always be "leaks", and ultimately it probably does cost them a tiny bit of revenue, but judging by their reaction you would think that they would fold tomorrow if everyone could sell their games..... Seems like a case of cutting off the nose to spite the face.
Huh? The difference between Dell, HP, etc. and Apple is(was?) that Apple's costed more but you were getting a much better experience. That used to be true up until right about the time the iPhone was released. Since then it seems that Apple's quality has gone down the tubes largely because I think they are trying to spread their engineering resources too thin. There is word out there that they are constructing a new campus, so maybe Apple's name will again be synonymous with quality, but thats not for a while. I don't mind paying for quality, but if you are going to deliver a buggy product, then don't charge me a lot of money. Simple as that.
That was just the icing on the cake really. I have been nothing but frustrated when I try to deal with Germans, esp. when I compare the situation to say that in Japan where people do their jobs, trains run on time, and the government doesn't steal your mail until you pay them money. I have experienced all of those in addition to the previously described incident in less than 3 years of living here.....
Lets see, in immediate sight I have 2 mac pros, a powermac g4 and a powermac g5 with a macbook pro sitting on my desk and an iPhone in my pocket. So yeah, I do know a little something about macs, as we use them at work and I have found their server offerings to be utter crap. On the Desktop Leopard isn't terrible, certainly better than Vista, but the first couple iterations were pretty buggy. And you cannot argue that the iPhone 2.0(and the first batch of 3gs) wasn't buggy, Steve Jobs has even gone on record saying that mobileme was buggy, and the list goes on. For a company that advertises that they have no bugs, they certainly have a lot.
Their reputation for stuff just working has been in the shitter for the past year at least. Almost everything they release has been plagued with bug after bug after bug. iPhone 2.0, Mobile Me, Leopard the list goes on. Hell, I haven't even been able to get the Genius thing to work, all I get is an extremely unhelpful 4010 error....
Maybe Steve's policy of not significantly increasing engineering staff is finally biting Apple in the ass. I know that when I use my Mac nowadays its hard to remember that I'm NOT using a Microsoft product, Apple's stuff is just as buggy.
Because a German decided rather than waste 30 seconds of their beer break to actually, oh I dunno, DO THEIR JOB, they would rather cost me the opportunity of a lifetime. So yeah, not a big fan of the lazy Germans. Unfortunately because of work I am stuck here for a while.
Seriously, is there even an Asian band on the list? Surely you could have found someone in Korea or Japan willing to sign.... bands such as Dir En Grey or Maximum the Hormone would be awesome IMO
Clearly you never tried Nikolai vodka. 1L 100 proof in an easy grip bottle for $7 in PA(which has relatively high excise taxes). My friend and I back when we were PCS(poor college students)had $7 between us and calculated that was the most alcohol we could buy....God I miss college.
How would that thing handle waves? It seems like it wouldn't last quite so long in waters that aren't as calm as they are in Catfish Lake Montana. But then again, he does use a mac, so maybe the power of Steve Jobs can sustain him on his epic quest. Steve should at least provide some iPods for entertainment....
So what does it mean when you hate people of your own race then? Seriously, I'm as white as they come and yet cannot stand white people, esp. white women. I like every other race except for white women, so am I racist? What does that say about my programming?
Yeah, and I would rather actually have access that actually goes at a decent speed and not have to worry that my neighboors are sucking up all the bandwidth. I live in Germany right now, and unless I get online early in the morning or late at night, I pretty much have 0 bandwidth. I have to fucking cache youtube videos because some asshat upstream wants to hog all the bandwidth. I say bring on the caps!
And 9/10 those 5 meg pictures were taken on digital cameras with shit optics and look like utter crap, but the camera manufacturer added a whole bunch of interpolation to boost the resolution in order to make it sound like it was so awesome, "OMG, 5 megapixels for less than $100! I rule the school!"
Considering that nowadays over half of slashdots stories are devoted to the pirate bay and whatnot, can you blame him? Whenever an ACTUAL tech article appears, its always a shock.
why it is utterly false and not science.

but the "surge" and military tactics are only a small part of why violence has fallen in Iraq recently.
Yeah, it would kind of suck if the last words you heard on this planet were "pics or it didn't happen"....
But surely there has to be some overlap, what about automatic goat sodomizers?
But what if you forgot to take the fridge out of your hand before using the urinal? The results wouldn't be pretty.....

Dude, I hereby dub your argument "The Furry Fallacy"

everyone knows all you have to do is strip a gundam and you can have all the super steel you would ever need.
Wasting time on slashdot, damnit quit wasting your wasting time time!

Bravo! And, as a Pittsburgher, I was elated to see the Kennywood ad, back before they made the "new" new Noah's ark....

of an American Gladiators viewer. Its the show that really does make you think!
