I'm chipping my old xbox first, gettin used to evolutionx till ps3 comes then compare both
nextgen machines, if i cant see much difference in both ill get a new nvidia card for my pc.
but i will probably get the xbox 360, altho its ms it probably will be less drm'd than the ps3.
Thats why you can rig ur hard drive to a small explosive charge that destroys enough of the hard drive yet creates only a small puff of smoke come out of the computer. maybe a reverse charge in an internal capacitor of the hdd could do the trick.
As compiere is based on the commercial version of 10g yet itself is supposed to be free, they can continue using the oracle db as the backend and still focus more on the actual system itself instead of wasting time porting to mySQL or postgreSQL.
They need this kind of technology to compete with free software
The absence of license key for openoffice and linux for example
is more tempting for a switch than the freeness that the sotware
gives.
So I guess plenty of ex indrema developers are working on the ps3 then if it runs linux.
And if transmeta are working on the cell then it should be tailormade for linux.
I doubt its the original 1995 Prey game that they shelved, i think its more of an unamed game that they thought would be cool to call prey after the old project.
