    You never know what evil lurks within.

    What would be nice would be the ability to add an "expand" parameter at the end of the shortened URL and, instead of the redirect, have the shortened URL's hosting server show (only show) a clickable full URL.

    Software is malware when:

    - it does things to your computer that you did not ask it to do

    - it downloads software you did not ask it to download

    - it gathers data from your computer and sends it to distant servers without your knowledgeable permission (agreeing to a fine-print multi-page EULA is not knowledgeable permission)

    TED Talks were really, really good in the 1990's. Then they expanded into all manner of different areas, and the talks became diluted.

    TED Talks nowadays seem to be more sub-industry leaders, not world-class industry leaders.

    While it's good that the TED Talks have grown, that very growth has pushed aside what originally made them great.

    One time when I was traveling, I used the lock that had a green flag in a window. The flag was supposed to flip to red if the TSA opened the lock with their pass key.

    When I got home, I looked at the lock and the flag was still green. When I opened the suitcase, there was a sheet of paper left on top of the contents. The paper said something to the effect, "this baggage has been inspected by the TSA".

    So much for the red flag on the lock.
