  1. Thanks to Geeks/Nerds on Blog Binging Gorges the Net · · Score: 2

Ten years ago, people called blogs homepages.

"Blogs" are in reality just easy-to-setup homepages. Without the geeks/nerds making it easy for people to set things up with sites like Blogger.com, blogs wouldn't be as popular as it is today. Many bloggers today can't even write a line of HTML.

  2. Not Completely Accurate!! on Singapore Bloggers Charged Under Sedition Act · · Score: 1
it is a country independent of malaysia simply because the chinese there feared dilution of their power by malays

    Malaysia kicked Singapore out.

Singapore *wanted* to be part of Malaysia (and it was for a brief period), provided Malaysia guaranteed EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL RACES. Unfortunately, Chinese were, and still are, disciminated in Malaysia in jobs, contracts, university places, etc.

Malaysia believed Singapore would bend over and accept anything after they were kicked out since they were a small island with no natural resources. Well, 40 years have passed and Singapore is still going strong, so that didn't work I guess.

My honest opinion? This is completely nuts. I really think the mainland government is getting increasingly out of touch with the rest of the world.

This has nothing to dowith "sex, violence or superstition" at all, but is clearly a blatant attempt to keep track of sites that promote views other than the ones officially recognised by the CCP. The only thing that needs to be kept in check is the CCP itself.

I think what they say is true, with great power comes great corruption.
