Leagues are sponsored and run the tournaments, which the players/teams come to compete in and win prize money
Teams are sponsored and provide their players with salaries/travel to events/hardware, whether they take a cut from players is up to them/I work for an international eSports league
I'm by no means an historian (nor paticularly good at remembering what I was taught in history lessons), but if I remember correctly didn't Hungary have an uprising that was put down by the red army (during which they called for NATO help but were ignored).
In the UK the trend is for freshers (our freshmen) to stay in halls (our dorms) for the first year (most Unis guarantee a space in halls for all freshers who put the Uni down as their first choice), afterwards moving into share houses
I've been a gamer my whole life, I haven't been to a store to buy games in years. In the UK we have Play.com which 99% of the time is much cheaper than any store, and has free delivery which is pretty fast too.
Last time I went inside a game store was to waste 10 mins while waiting to something else.
Majority of gamers who attend these events are sponsored, a handful do it out of their own pockets (acelethal from the UK paid his own way to some stops last year)
The Winter CPL tournament isn't required to qualify for anything, it will give some autoberths for the first World Series stop next year I guess, as well as improve seedings to give you an easier run.
POP3 is still free, and has never been not-free, I remember the first mail Yahoo sent about POP3 going to pay-to-use but it has never once forced me to pay.
I've had free POP on Yahoo since as long ago as 2000 and it hasn't stopped working once, and I've used 3 different accounts in that time.
I doubt it, since they would find themselves fired within 6 months.
I think you are confusing leagues with teams

Curious, was the CoD2 and Q4 you're referring to the ClanBase EuroCup 13 finals on GZTV? /I helped run that!
And if Google goes down, how do they find them!
I don't think he meant a Windows software firewall installed on the machine itself.
Er, the four times I've flown out of the UK (all in the last 18 months) I've needed my passport.
That and the other fourty plus times I've sailed to France/Belgium.
And the UK.
Have only met lilo a couple of times in IRC, and don't recall speaking to him, but as a fellow IRCer, RIP

Would hardly class that as "free to leave".
Obviously that's why you never see players transferring from one game to the other as time progresses. /me has a look at the last decade of FPS gaming.
Oh wait, you do.
Diana did (I still remember it flashing up along the bottom of Nickelodeon that morning)
Well UT2004 (UE 2.5) had lots of great mods so its possible, I trust Atari a lot more than id after the disaster that is D3/Q4
(well, someone had to reply eventually)
Think you meant assassins?

Warlocks?
You left out they have already planned a third expansion pack, there have only been two or three patches for the game since release!
I'd rather have the tank, that'd fscking pwn
Have I missed something that makes this crime so heinous.
Yes but don't worry, it'll be posted again soon
Doesn't this virus still require the user to click a link? It's not fully automated?
Why are so many people making it sound like the end of the world?

We get it for free, at least in my school (Southampton University, UK)

Um, there have been shoutcasters in gaming for years, seen http://www.radioitg.com/ and http://www.tsncentral.com/
