Amen, my Microsoft Multimedia keyboard is the same, I recently disabled all the hotkeys on the F-keys so that when I forget to turn on F-lock my game isn't minimized while Windows Help loads
"FYI, the menu bar is below the tab bar so it can stay contextual to the document being viewed in that tab, be it a PDF, a Word document or an Excel sheet. It's a simple switch that affords a great increase in versatility with no practical downsides, and you're knocking it simply because firefox does it differently and you don't like the look of it? Bitch please."
What the fuck? Firefox does it differently? The entire Microsoft product line since Windows 95 does it different.
There was a rather unknown UK wide tournament for Halo 2 a couple of months ago, the i-series LANs tend to hold a small Halo 2 tourney.
It is very unlikely that Halo 2 will become a big pro game, even when it hits PC (though, with the CPL the mind wonders, they did run Halo PC last summer).
Still, Halo 2 will not compared to the likes of CS, WC3, UT2004, PK etc
They do not enter a grey area, you have entered it when you broke the license agreement you made with them by illegally using a crack.
You may be morally correct in the right from the customer point of view, but from theirs you have broken the agreed terms in the license and are in full right to revoke your license and block you playing.
So many people whining about stuff, it's a joke, most of their problems are probably down to clue or having settings too high. I have a moderate system (2.08ghz, 512ddr400, 9600xt), I play on 800x600 medium, loading times are OK and I get very little stuttering (did on high detail).
Heh, I'm going to a lecture of his in two weeks (on the offchance anyone here is, soton uni), not read any of his work yet but am planning on reading the code book before I go.

Mine (>2 years) is too, a friend whose account is about the same age was just upgraded. He says his account was nearing full so I guess they could be upgrading the more full accounts first.
I much prefer webmail over regular mail, I have a good ISP address for anything formal (ie I wouldn't use my domain email to send a CV), my domain address I tend to use only with people who found me at my domain and mysql backup of my blog. Other than that, I use my hotmail for most contact, my yahoo for some stuff (my mind "feels" when I want to use yahoo, weird, I know), gmail for mailing lists.
I find regular mail clunky, slow and and more awkward than being able to fire up a browser (which these days we live in anyway) and quickly get to my email instantly.
Tell that to those who make and use keygens. CD key protection doesn't stop piracy, it just means pirates are alot less likely to take part in a community which has a builtin, global, vendor supported anti cheat (punkbuster).

He said in the keynote that it would be GPL (and then he went on for the best part of 5 minutes talking about how much he loves the GPL etc).

You buy a license to use them, and this license has terms and conditions.
Finally, someone on Slashdot who isn't whining ;D
We need our own thread, or maybe forum!
