They've been making interesting changes continually, and will keep doing so until the official release. There's usually a new feature or mechanic worth checking out added every month or so. The nice thing is once you've purchased it you get all the updates, so you've got nothing to lose by checking it out again.

I think you'd probably lose some points. "chaucer" should be capitalized.
Dude, did an undergrad Econ course kill your father or something? Or did you meet this amazing women, have a whirlwind romance with her, then she tragically assumed perfect information, or capitalized it, and then the Econ Nazis ripped her away from you? I don't mean to pry, it just seems like there's got to be a fascinating story about why you're so adamant about this point...
You can find a video of this presentation at the GDC Sessions Gallery. I think a free registration is required, but it's worth watching. Spore doesn't seem to be so much about AI as it is player-created content and insane compression algorithms.
Bad quote in that CNN article. All the real trekkies (trekkers? whatever.) know that the exact phrase "Beam me up, Scotty" never happened in any TOS script.
Yes, therefore it was "apocryphal," as CNN said... Not a bad quote, just a vocabulary lesson...
I think a lot of people know what Everquest is even if they've never played and never intend to play. I've never done crack and never intend to, but I know what it is...
My dad always said decaffinated coffee was like non-alcoholic beer. His theory was anyone drinking either for the taste was obviously missing the point.
True, there are indie games, but they rarely have the resources (human and financial) that EA does now. There are some great indie games, but they still face the challenge of marketing/publishing their game to turn a profit.
My beef with EA (and Vivendi) is they're buying up companies that did make innovative games. Then they either dismantle the companies or take all the credit when good games do come out.
I'm fresh out of college and looking for a job in gaming, but it's hard to find companies that inspire me like Interplay and Sierra did while I was growing up. They've been bought and destroyed or assimilated by EA and Vivendi.
I agree the ad looks good, but the modified logo struck me as funny. It looks like the Firefox is devouring the world. Is Firefox developing MS tendencies?
"First, conquer the NY Times Marketing Department; then, the WORLD! MWAAhahahaha!"
I'm agnostic. I'm not an atheist. An atheist would say there is no God. I say I don't know if there's a God, and therefore lack a belief in God one way or the other. An atheist would hold a belief that there is no God.
Neither of these belief systems are religious, really. And I'd say that my belief that Santa Clause [sic] implies faith, but not in a religious sense. I have faith that when I step off a curb I'm not going to fall through the street and tumble into oblivion, but that doesn't make me a member of the First Church of Street-Worshippers.
Atheism denotes a person believes there is no God. In other words, this person has "faith" that there is no God.
"Agnosticism" is more the "non-religious", "nothing to do with faith" thing...
The best Max cameo is in the original Jedi Knight. There's a house you can sneak into on one of the levels and find Max carrying a blaster. If you hit the spacebar on him, you can control him and run around. If he gets shot, he goes ballistic and starts blasting everything in sight with psychopathic bunny glee.
Rusty Rueff gave a presentation in one of my classes at Purdue about a week before this story broke. Too bad it wasn't after... The way it was, everybody just asked him "Gee, golly, wow, how can I get a job at EA??" I wanted to ask why EA was being a megalithic bitch and destroying all creativity in the industry. But I didn't...

Here ya go.
Cue cries of "This article is very dense. Does anyone have a link to a summary?"
Hurp durp two year old video game reference. i get it. you're so funny.
According to xkcd, he's still three years early.
I hear burning organic stuff creates carcinogens too.
Yeah, my friend's step-brother's uncle's third wife read a magazine article about a movie in which this happened, so no burnt fruit for me!

Either grow a massive hedge in an orb shape and stick this dish in the top section just like the DeathStar from StarWars...
To further illustrate the concept, check out this T-shirt.
You must be with that vaudeville troupe I keep hearing about, The Aristocrats.
Hate to burst your bubble, but finish books 6 and 7 first... Marvel won't have a chance to screw it up; King did that himself.

Both seem to be woefully out of touch when it comes to sex...

Gmail's a really good idea. It'd be a snap to search then too, thus solving the searchable bookmarks problem.

That's all I got.

"a geed thing?" A thing relating to the command given to horses or oxen to turn them to the right?

Actually, don't million-to-one chances prove correct .0001% of the time?
