  1. Xbox 360 = on Xbox Division Down $4 Billion · · Score: -1, Offtopic

Last MS console. MS is in trouble all over the place. They can't stop open source. They missed the digital media boat. All that, and Bill gates looks more like a tool every day. Not to mention his lackey J Allard.

  2. Hah! on Sony's Meeting Reveals Brand Futures · · Score: 1

  3. For all the hype on Survey Sees Tough Times for 360 in Japan · · Score: 0, Flamebait

Micrsoft spews about their video game division, the Xbox is still a distant second in the US and tied for second with Nintendo world wide. It should come as no surprise that there is little to no interest for the Xbox360 in Japan, there has been very little interest in the original Xbox everywhere.

  4. Hey, fanboy! on Nintendo Releasing Wireless Router for Revolution · · Score: 1

Any broadband capable console can be made wireless with the right adapter, including PS2 GameCube and Xbox. The Revolution will have wifi BUILT IN. Does the Xbox have that?

    Hmmm, let me check mine....
    NOPE!

Thank you for this insight. Too many people get into these gaming/business arguements and have no clue about business or economics. Its not about winning a war for the console makers, its about building market share.

What? And what games on the PSP are so great that warrant the $250 asking price?

As far as Nintendo going by the wayside, that is the most rediculous opionion to be had by a gamer. Nintendo isn't going anywhere. They are the most profitable of all the game companies.

  13. Re:DS may win the battle but will lose the War on Nintendogs Pummels Sony Products · · Score: 1

I agree completely. I see no killer apps for the PSP on the horizon. Not even GTA. The thing is, why would a developer pour millions into creating a high quality PSP game, when they could direct those dollars (or Yen as the case may be) to creating a quality PS2 or PS3 game that will assuradly sell. It just costs too much to create a flashy game for PSP.
On the other hand, the DS can provide a great gaming experience with substantially lower dev costs.

Very good point. This last week, Nintendogs didn't even make it into the top ten in Japan. A Gundam game and a puzzle/quiz game did.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thinks the design looks rediculous. Can't tell if it looks more like a George Foreman grill, or a Bose surround sound receiver. Either way, it looks dated and ugly. And its too big as well.

The case and font is all we have to criticize, considering that there was no actual gameplay demonstrated. And while we're on the subject, those controls looked rediculous.

I agree, the PS3 design is aweful. Its like they ripped off some Bose design. And the concave xbox360? Whats that all about? By far, the Revolution looks the best.

Hold on a minute buddy. I don't mean that Namco is imitating Nintendo in any way. I mean that Nintendo, along with Sega (Super Monkey Ball), has proven that there exists a market for these quirky games, even in the US. I'm not dissing Namco's legacy, hell I'm not even talking about Nintendo's legacy. I'm saying that Nintendo supports this type of game on a regular basis, and the success of Katamari confirms Nintendo's strategy.
