Personally I miss FFVII and FFX's summons. I *liked* seeing Ifrit throw flaming meatballs and rip up a gigantic chunk of the earth to hurl at a dangerous boss.
You mean to say that you haven't seen a single summon do it's ultimate ability? They generally happen when it's low on health, or the timer's about to expire.
Personally, I prefer a controller that feels like a real controller. Not a cheesy plastic extreme-mass-production model, but one that I'd have second thoughts about tossing across the room.
Never trust game sites like Gamespot for release info. Search for a direct developer quote or something official, because websites tend to want to set a date in stone just to pacify the crowds.
This is most definitely tagged as FUD. I'm 17 and going through high school. I usually spend the lion's share of my school nights playing video games, and I'm able to keep up with grades and AP classes quite easily, as do most of my friends.
The data extracted from this survey most likely showed that watching TV or playing games in excess affected academics. Like a binge I had during middle school with FFXI (2-3 hours of sleep doesn't cut it), my grades dropped. I learned my lesson, I still play games, I get better grades. The results of the test were most likely exponential, as when you reach a certain amount of time that is devoted to pleasure instead of homework, you start getting the kids who simply do not care, and without videogames or TV, would most likely be doing something else other than homework.
Take groups of kids equally motivated to do their schoolwork, and see what the results are then. As long as the homework is done, academics won't fall. Videogames and TV simply aren't braindrains.
I don't have a link, but Nintendo _has_ said that they are supporting indie developers with the Virtual Console. And the devkit costs MUCH less than a Sony/Microsoft devkit. You know, cheap enough to where an indie would buy it, but keep those that truly don't have the desire to make games out.
Viewpoint thinks it's not a bad thing? There's something wrong here.
My personal experience with Viewpoint was that I had three Viewpoint applications installed on my computer. The media player, the toolbar, and one other one. I could not open Firefox nor Internet Explorer. It simply wouldn't happen no matter what I tried. Scannings for adware/spyware/malware didn't work, until I was finally able to narrow it down to Viewpoint. After uninstalling the Viewpoint apps, my computer worked perfectly.
I'm still reeling that they're trying to put themselves off as NotEvil(TM).
There was also a company started during the dotcom boom which delivered candy right to your front door (The name eludes me). Only problem was that consumers were using it to buy single bars of candy, and the shipping costed to much for the company to stay alive. A good idea though. Reminds me of when I could order groceries online, but that was cancelled due to the lack of popularity. I suppose America isn't ready to take the final step to pure laziness.
Without having seen this World Series, a side-by-side of the actual thing and this recreation would be nice. He did, after all, try his best to mimic the real thing.
But how would you sue someone that was rerecording a song that they wrote, even though the original copyright is held by someone else? I'd say that the artist would have every right to do so. Under technical terms, it might be infringing, but on a moral level, it doesn't hold water. And it seems like many judges tend to hold morality a bit high when things get wacky like this.
As part of Windows Vista, if you're using Vista Basic, Starter, Home, Pro, Diet, or whatever, you'll have to pay for Ultimate or Enterprise, for the cheap, cheap price of $499.99 (After $100 mail-in rebate).
Article summary: Our game will be good. WoW was good, but ours will be better.

Never liked Xbox. But it's a good thing the Wii comes with a strap. Hehe.

Maybe you should look up the definition of "whoosh". You have no clue what just happened.
Imagine, Goatse burned to the backs of your eyes, layed over everything you look at...
I read your post several times thinking it was a joke post...
Actually it's the B that matters. k = kilo, B = byte, b = bit. So Uh to Parent and GP.
Ah, the mighty and far-reaching power of 4chan.
I wish I could give you a +1 Nostalgia. It rolls down stairs it sits on chairs...
Perhaps you should reread what he said. He was speaking of "most secure" in the context of Windows. "Most secure in the world" is not implied.
I want to know what his sig means too... I just don't understand it.

It won't happen, because standardization of batteries and chargers means less money for the companies selling them to make.

All this and more in the next episode of "What the RIAA Does Best".

If his sarcasm were a snake it would've... Well, you know the rest.

Irony abounds this /. article...
