True... or the company making this could say "they're going to buy this no matter how we do it" and release a wired guitar that uses nothing that wasn't in the PS2 or 360 versions of the game. You assume they'll just let you snap in a remote cause it would save money... why do they care?
Activision is no stranger to the generic port. Maybe the Wii will get a Les Paul shaped guitar but I wouldn't count on anything revolutionary. The DS version is just a cash grab.
Secret of the Silver Blades followed Curse of the Azure Bonds. The final chapter was a return to Phlan(?) for Pools of Darkness.
Loved those as well. I took a single party from obscurity in Pool of Radiance to almost godlike in Secret... never played Pools of Darkness due to not finding it for the C64 and my lack of a more modern PC at the time. Good times indeed.
"As a gamer, I kind of miss the 'you can only get it on this system'."
Would he be singing that tune if Sony hadn't paid him a truckload of money to make exclusives?
Make sure the audio gets as much attention as the graphics. The echos and sound of the radar in the AvP game (human campaign) for the PC were very well done for the time and added immensely to the feeling of fear and paranoia.
Ummm Microsoft was on the list the minute Windows the defacto standard for playing PC games. I don't see too many being made to run on the competitors' OSes
I'd never sell it anyway. I keep all of my old videogame stuff ever since my mom cleared out my atari 2600 and box of games and gave it to my aunt (who sold it on Ebay I think). At one point I was pressed for cash and thought about selling CT. Now I'd rather keep it since I'd prefer it running on my snes than an emulator.
...by holding onto my original Chrono Trigger with instructions (the box is somewhere in my closet in my parents house). You can get ~100 for that on ebay from time to time.
Guitar Hero got me to be serious about learning how to play the guitar that had sat in my closet for the last 5 years. Learned the major chords and scales on the old POS and went out and got a new one and amp. Now I have been playing daily since May... still not very good though but learning.
Read your comment again, numbnuts. Old people, children, simplistic, quaint non-games, niche (which they are actually - they stick to games generally and don't deal in media centers for example)... its not exactly constructive criticism more a rehash of the same old horse thats beaten when someone criticizes nintendo.
I believe it was Heroes of the Lance. Sort of like Hillsfar in that it was in the same world but used significantly different mechanics than the "gold box" games. IIRC it was in a silver box.
So how long before someone gets a concussion and sues Nintendo after getting cracked in the head? Better watch spiking the "ball" into the hardwood floor too. No more greasy chips while playing video games I guess.
I'd say check Ebay like the other person mentioned. I know the Blockbuster and Rogers video near me both have bins of old PSX stuff including memory cards sitting around the store, you might have some luck with them (or whatever equivalent video stores you have nearby).
Anyone remember how Wing Commander included Blueprints, a manual, offers, etc? Good luck finding that stuff in a modern game.
I was happy when Fallout 2 came with a nice spiral bound manual. Now I'm lucky to even get a printed manual. Not a big deal for many games but really sucked when you look at the pile of documentation that comes with Civ 4. The manual would be nice to just read through if it were actually on paper.
I want the Bard's Tale trilogy for the DS or GBA. It would be perfect on the DS - top screen for walking around and the combat text and bottom screen with party roster and menus navigated using the stylus. It would probably fit easily on a cartridge (at least one at a time - I don't know exactly how they'd do party transfer from I to II to III), could incorporate the C64 music (the best IMO) and easily absorb hundreds of hours of otherwise productive time. That way you could carry the whole thing to the fridge as MAML lays waste to the 200 bugmen you see before you. Death and drek indeed.
"Also, Mercedes (newer ones) have a ton more safety features than many other cars"
Yeah... thats why he was able to mangle the taxi driver and his cab yet the driver at fault here walked away with a few scratches.
Take one off the count. I bought mine used.
Having played all of the current gen consoles and owning all but the X-Box (might pick one up if it gets really cheap) the PS2 is the best overall though, IMO. barely touched the Cube since buying it. PC gaming is still where its at for me though so don't assume a particular console bias with me.
I had an 8 occupant single room home with separate beds and a stove near the door (jesus... sounds like some dorms I've visited). For extra fun I added a fireplace as well and put the smoke detector right over the stove on the wall. It only took about 20 minutes before I was left with 8 little piles of ashes.
Another fun one was to put a small square room in the back yard. When the annoying neighbour comes over and goes in uninvited you can sell the door and erect a wall. It takes a while for him or her to kick off though. If you're looking for the deliverance effect you can place a rocking chair on the back porch and involve your own sim in the fun.

You mean like Metal Gear Solid 4 or the other exclusive game the PS3 has left?
Thats the DVD drive making that noise. The fans make very little noise.
Those bastards at Atari still owe me badges for mailing in a picture of my high scores in Pitfall and Dolphin.
Be thankful it wasn't in rolls of nickels.

It was at least 20 dollars but the package arrived with nothing more than 3 dollars in stamps on it.

I sat down for Texas Flood - thought it was fitting. Its stand up for Iron Man and Cowboys from Hell all the way though.

Yeah... you can use the money you save in the exchange rate to go buy yourself a clue. Get some new jokes with what you have left over.

I was thinking it would be your own special mushrooms.
