Amen to that one. I'm currently wheelchair bound, and I'd sell my fucking soul for something with greater mobility. I have a whole new empathy for people in this situation. Thank God mine is only for another couple months.

We run a squid proxy for 10 local schools. We recently added a spyware category for blocking. It's kinda weird now -- you'll see individual frames on web pages with the "access denied" message from the proxy, while the rest of the page appears normally.
I agree with you. Maxtor has been rock solid for me. Seagate has been a dismal failure. Although my experience with Seagate has been alomst totally on the SCSI side in servers. Very high failure rate.
IBM doesn't make drives anymore. Hitachi bought that division out.
How about significantly less commercials and NO product placement?? Try the UK! Over here the ITC have strict rules on when networks can and can't show adverts, how many can be shown and so on.

I read The Adolescence of P-1 when I was 12 years old, by accident. It was in this big discount bin, and it was one of the few books I could afford. I had no special interest in computers at the time, I just needed something to read. It changed my life.

I suppose it was inevitable that soon even erudite institutions like Pennsylvania State University would start thinking of the RIAA as a "law enforcement entitity." How sad.
