Yes, but I think the Univeral Binaries is more of a stop-gap solution then what the norm will be. Just like the switch to PPC. At the time there were FAT Binaires that could go either way. Now that is just not the case. FAT served its purpose... to transition to PPC and I see UB in the same light.
the difference is that 80% of that 90% will have to buy a new machine to use Vista. In buying a new machine there is the option, and apple knows this, of going with a Macintosh.

I think 'schemer' is a little too rough. For every sucessfull venture there has to be a good salesperson. Jobs is a good salesperson no doubt about it, but how do you justify schemer?
The iTunes Store is profitable for Apple I do believe. I don't think its a cash cow (unless you factor in the ipod sales), but I don't think they are losing money on it anymore.

2. And as you stated a mac can pass on a virus to other machines, but its not your problem. How many virus emails do you get in a day from PC's? Is that not in turn YOUR problem? Its everyones problem. And what happens when there is a virus on OS X, then you have all these OS X users protection and they get creamed. The way I think of it is like a seatbelt, put it on just in case because by the time you need it, its too late.
Yes, but the problem is to the untrained eye when they see.jpg.exe... you see.jpg and thats it. That is the reason I block many an attachments on our email server, no exe, bat, pif, zip, etc... Know what I mean?
