You downloaded Finding Nemo? To make sure that it was appropriate? What could be more inappropriate about Finding Nemo? Please, enlighten me.

And no, I'm not trying to be a troll, but what the hell, Finding Nemo?

  2. Re:Go see it in theaters on 'Sith' Already Found Online · · Score: 1

Actually, most movies released aren't crap, sure, there are some that suck worse then Jar-Jar, but on the whole, if it's bad and there are other (better) copies out there, it won't get downloaded.

$5 for a theater ticket? Yeah, right.

And waiting for them to show it on T.V.? That'll only take 2 years (or more), and they'll cut all the good bits out. Take for example (SPOILER)

when they're stitching Anankin back together, he's on the table, no arms (well, sort of), no legs, just a bloodly burned corpse. Do you really think they'll show that on T.V.?

  8. Crazy on Testing Out Cell-Phone Viruses on a Prius · · Score: 5, Interesting

Reading the article, they're talking about going undergound in order to not effect any other cellphones in the area, and it stuck me as to how much is the same between a computer virus and a "physical" virus. I mean, scientists who work with e.g. bubonic plague, have to take the same cautions, i.e. not letting the virus out into the "wild", where it can spread. I suppose in a few years, many viruses will be tested like this, taking them into a underground bunker, putting them on a computer that has absolutly no connection to the outside world, and trying to find a cure for it. Then the geeks shall hold the true power.

  10. Tested on Robots to Help the Blind · · Score: 1

"We worked out some times when we weren't open and they tested the robot early in the morning."

Personally, I'd like it better if they were field tested in the afternoon, when the store is open, right about the time when work is getting off. However, A number of visually impaired testers have given enthusiastic feedback...*, so this is still good stuff.

  15. Studies on Fat Geeks Healthier Than You Thought · · Score: 2, Interesting

These studies just give people a reason to keep eating badly.

But, from the article: 'People shouldn't think that this study gives them a free trip to the pork rind buffet.'

Yeah, because people really listen to stuff that they don't want to hear.

"The best predictor of obesity is being overweight," said Charles Clark, professor of medicine and pharmacology at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. "The younger you are when you become overweight the more likely that you will become obese."

Anyone gone to their local middle school recently and looked at the weight of the kdis there. I deal with them almost every day, and I can tell you, the younger they are, the fatter they seem to be getting. Even the anorexic ones.

I'd take that Sony VAIO clip over an iPod shuffle any day

Just about to write something like this, the article explains why it failed.

Mostly because Sony players did not play MP3 files at all, but files formatted in Sony's competing ATRAC3 format.

Now that sucks, but nowadays, they'd have to put in MP3 capability, and converting has become much easier. But overall, I just like the look of the player, I would buy one.
