It's not 1994 anymore. Nobody uses UnixWare or OpenServer. Those that do, probably want out as fast as possible. Your products are obsolete: Your hardware support sucks. Standards implementation sucks. Didn't you just get USB support in UnixWare a couple of years ago? Nobody is even worrying about whether or not their software will compile on your operating systems these days. You've alienated the entire Unix market systematically.
You're DEAD. Get over it. File chapter 11 and liquidate those assets already.
You are not entitled to money for being stupid and immature. You should not be meeting STRANGERS over the internet, where nothing is ever as it seems, and most people lie about their most basic personal traits.
Yep. I hate seeing car ads where all they talk about is the horsepower. I don't care about how much horsepower the car has, it's a meaningless measurement. Can't count the number of times that I've seen a car I'm interested in, and I've had to dig through a manufacturer's site to finally find out how much torque the engine makes, and at what RPM range.
By the same token, why should I trust Joe Linux Distribution when sending an error report? I'm sure that nobody involved with the development of a Linux distribution would ever be interested in stealing my information.:/
No. The feedback you're providing to Microsoft is not on a whim. They're not basing driver quality ratings on how many angry E-mails they've received; they're basing them on how many automated Windows Error Reporting messages they receive, which drivers are the most common offenders, and whether or not these drivers are all experiencing similar failures.
Ever used Microsoft's "Crash Analysis" tool? These Crash Analysis reports are what they're using to guage driver quality. If you've never used the tool, take a look. It's very handy for figuring out exactly why you're getting a BSOD when you insert your El-Cheapo Brand-Y USB Modem. http://oca.microsoft.com/
1) Have no route to the internet. 2) Have both external storage drives and USB ports disabled. 3) Do not allow users to log in with administrative accounts. 4) Have proper group policy restrictions in place.
More often then not, even without the latest patches from Microsoft, machines in this state are perfectly secure and stable. Argue if you'd like, but there are plenty of offices I've worked in where the Windows machines aren't even up to SP2, and because they are properly locked down, they're solid as a rock and still running.
Agreed.. When I was a kid, some freinds and I spent almost an entire summer playing nothing but that game day in and day out. The damn thing was worse than crystal meth.
Nintendo isn't dumb. They don't have to overmarket their product, since they have a rabidly loyal fanbase that does it all for them. Why is this article on Slashdot? Do you see very many negative comments? In all of the glowing comments given to the system in this particular Slashdot discussion, how many of the users make unsubstantiated claims about the power of the system, and how great the games will be, despite the fact that they've seen almost nothing of either?

Was it an IP printer? JetDirect, etc? It won't pick up on those unless they support UPnP. Printers connected to Windows machines will show up automatically. I admin the networks on about 15 cargo vessels, and this feature has always worked on every single ship.
They'll tell you exactly what program is causing it, and exactly which procedure it's occuring in.
But I imagine you'll just reinstall Windows and end up reinstalling whatever driver is causing this behavior, or using whatever faulty hardware is installed, and you'll continue blaming it on the OS.
Run the executable and extract it to a folder, then open the folder. Right-click on "setup.inf," click Install, and restart once it's done. Works with all service pack levels of Home.
I remember buying a Stealth 64 DRAM VLB card/w 2MB of DRAM, simply because of the fact that it had a VBE 2.0 BIOS, so I could avoid having to use SciSoft's crap.

Water is flammable? Holy shit. I'd better not smoke while taking a shit anymore.
They let you get on Slashdot from your jail cell?

If it's just that simple, why hasn't it been done yet?

I guess it's just your luck that the four people who still think the whole Ballmer/Chair thing is funny all had mod points today.
By the same token, why should I trust Joe Linux Distribution when sending an error report? I'm sure that nobody involved with the development of a Linux distribution would ever be interested in stealing my information. :/

Installing Services for Unix with the "case sensitivity" option enabled, only enables case sensitivity for the POSIX subsystem.
What do iPods and beer have to do with eachother? This makes less sense than saying that cardboard boxes are more popular than chopsticks.
Why not?
Systems like these used in call centers often:
1) Have no route to the internet.
2) Have both external storage drives and USB ports disabled.
3) Do not allow users to log in with administrative accounts.
4) Have proper group policy restrictions in place.

UPnP is ZeroConf. It's one of the handful of service discovery protocols that fall under the umbrella of the name "ZeroConf."

Yes, XP has "that thing." It's also on by default.
Explorer: Tools menu -> Folder options -> View tab -> "Automatically search for network folders and printers"
Notify the police?
Hahahah! Steve Ballmer? Flying furniture? Crazy, man! That's original, and that's why it's funny!
How the fuck do you get modded up for this crap?
Yeah, but would you really want to shoot or hack and slash a photo-realistic character for fun?
No, but I might want to have sex with them.
Want to know what's wrong with it? Turn on Operating System Error Reporting in System properties Advanced tab > Error Reporting.
Next time the crash occurs, visit http://oca.microsoft.com/

You can gain access to the "Security" tab in XP Home by installing NT Security Configuration Manager:
/ tools/scm/SCESP4I.EXE
ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public
Run the executable and extract it to a folder, then open the folder. Right-click on "setup.inf," click Install, and restart once it's done. Works with all service pack levels of Home.
At least provide some idea of what it was for those of us who weren't in the loop at the time.
Those God damn Investors. They're always giggling about something.
