Video games have had a positive impact on me. Playing many computer RPGs has increased my problem solving abilities as well as my lexicon. They kept me away from drugs and alcohol, which have much more harmful side effects. They have introduced me to many new friends from around the world.
Playing video games is no more harmful than reading a book.
Forsooth, such a post would be made by someone with the sig: Booth was a patriot.
Actually there is a quest in the "Thousand Needles" area that requires you to jump to(what would be) your death from a very high mesa, but magic saves you at the last second.
I was at a retail store the other day and they had a 360 set up. I took the opportunity to try out the demo disc that was running on it. And the menu system is pretty clunky for someone who had never tried out the system before. It took quite a few button presses to get from game to game. The main thing was that it took me all the way back to some confusing unlabeled screen before I could get back to the game selection.
The best thing about the 360 is that regular Xbox will plummet in price. Maybe I'll pick one up.
Yeah, but they make up for it in game sales. Well that is assuming all xbox owners bought multiple copies of Halo and Halo 2, seeing as how that is their only really popular franchise.
That is exactly my point. We don't call those people boogiemen. The threat of terrorism is not the US vs Middle East. It can come from anywhere. There will always be crazies in every society, even ours. It's just easier to blame all foreigners than it is to blame all fellow Americans.
I don't see why it is so important to read Romeo and Juliet and other plays. They are meant to be watched. The actors are supposed to play a major role in how the characters are precieved. Take the students to see the play performed or bring in the movie. What really made me think Shakespear was awesome, was the Romeo and Juliet movie with Leonardo Dicaprio.
If you are going to just bring in scripts for you class to read, why not It's A Wonderful Life or Star Wars? That is only half the experience, and one not meant to be thrust upon the audience.
I hope they get David Warner to reprize his role as the villian. This guy is my all time favorite bad guy. His voice has always given me chills. I'll never forget him as Jon Irenicus(Baldur's Gate II), the Evil Genius(Time Bandits), Ra's Al Ghul(Batman the Animated Series), The Archmage(Gargoyles), Gul Madred(Star Trek: TNG), and of course the bad guy from Tron.
Enh, I think it's fine. Give the Horde a pretty race...maybe it'll even up the balance of players a bit. I imagine that most younglings will still flock to the Alliance though. Everyone wants to be Aragorn, and no one wants to be Orc With Sword Through Neck.
I wish that the Florida Bar would settle this. I mean, we get Thompson and Penny-Arcarde together, give Penny-Arcade the Florida Bar and let them beat the crap out of him with it.
This story is full of a lot of hot air.

Where's /pizza when you need it?
I've done that, only it was in between turns in Mario Party.
But what if you want hot/warm water from the sink?
I'm sure in 1985, plutonium is available at every corner drugstore, but in 2005 it's a little hard to come by.
I thought "Finnish" was the verb and something called "Star Trek Spoof Top" was the subject.

They also don't park trucks full of explosives next to Oklahoma City buildings.
America is a nation of foreigners.

Kind of funny how they chose to title themselves after a reference to Nintendo's most popular franchise.

Tell that to the millions of people who play America's Army.
Don't forget about Hayden Christensen playing Anakin's ghost in Return of the Jedi.
The only thing to fear, is F.E.A.R. itself.
No quality programming? Maybe you are forgetting how much they air Star Trek: TNG and DS9 reruns.
I am an American, can you put that into miles for me?

Cyborg cells sense steaminess. Scientist Saraf solved secret with special, supersensitive cellborgs.
