      It's time to man-up and buy a South American island in a country you can pay off to secede. Invite other like minded individuals, make passports, do it right!

    Some of us do understand (and even admire) the right to do and be as you care to, socially acceptable or not. Sounds a lot more sustainable and easier to keep the locals out of your pocket.

    It's a little stronger than "doesn't like", it's against federal law.

    (a) Whoever willfully

    (1) sets fire to, damages, destroys, disables, or wrecks any aircraft in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States or any civil aircraft used, operated, or employed in interstate, overseas, or foreign air commerce; ...shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years or both.

    First off, remote controlled aircraft less than 55 lbs don't have to be registered or marked until Feb 20 (for the grandfathered owners) and flying under 400 feet is a suggestion.

    AMPRNet is significantly older than 2012. I had nodes running on an STB 4COM (RS232) running under Desqview on a 386 if I remember correctly. Nodes were 1/2 duplex at 300baud with many hidden transmitters, running on 2 meter. If I remember an old FTP to UCSD of a wopping 300k took 8 hours:-)

    So yes,, it's by no means new.

    No it doesn't. It shows they are following the law. Just because a cop makes a request, doesn't make it a law. The law doesn't lie or distort fact to obtain results. The law is set by courts and enforced by courts, cops are just minions who are currently out of control.

    Absolutely. I too have never ran any virus package on any of my machines starting from the days of Win 3 and winsock. I have never had an infected machine. I scan every six months and receive the same results.

    For button pushing users I support, the only packages I would trust were the packages distributed by Kaspersky or Panda. Everything else I've ever seen is excellent in the over use of your funds and resources.

    Never, ever talk to police. Provide polite identification and documentation as required by law, then shut the fuck up. Repeat, shut the fuck up, no small talk, explanations, excuses destinations, plans or BS. People abiding the law don't have to explain ANYTHING (most of the time police look to entrap you with communication).

    Simple and effective.
