Enemy Territory isn't mentioned much as its a free game but even though it was released mid 2003 it is still in the top 10 most played games according to gamespy and also has a huge fan following with mods still being updated and tournaments still running for the compeition side, I'd recommend people give it a go.

How many times in adverts do you see a company repeat their site? In adverts in the UK, there is an average of 2-3 times for ones which actually verbally say their domain instead of just writing it at the bottom. So for companies a domain which is only 1 character long is like the holy grail. What better advertisement can you get then a domain name that is only one letter. Joe - "Whats your site again?", James - "Why, it's a.com" Joe - "What!? How did you manage to get that?!" etc etc
same happens with any sort of system where you need to register, look at/. ID's.
you sure DRM songs would be covered? afaik most downloaded(legit) songs can only be used on N computers, so surely uploading it to your site would count as one?
You mean Microsoft is repeating what Sony do with every product they launch? Just like how they first prolonged the release date of the PSP to try and make more people eager to buy it and then didn't give the shops enough units and left the rest of the produce on the factory floor so the shops could sell out?
Yeah naughty naughty microsoft .
I'd maybe care if the iPod Video was at least a decent PMP, but it's not so I'm not really interested.
nyone who wants to not have to squint at a 2.5" screen and be stuck with support for only 2 codecs should take a long at www.archos.com
"But then who would pay $1.99 to download an episode of 'Lost' from iTunes if the iPod could also hook up to your television and record that same episode free?"
Just like how you can record music from the radio and stick it onto your iPod. Strange how ITMS is doing so well.
Maybe it's because this article is quite new but why hasn't anyone actually said anything about the fact this is just a normal ipod with a 2.5"(!!) screen that can play video?
If you want to watch videos on the move then why not go for a real PMP like anything from www.archos.com as they at least have a 3+" screen so you can actually see what you are trying to watch... I mean seriously a 2.5" screen and one video codec supported(?). This isn't exactly a great PMP, but ho hum, this is apple so I'm not surprised no one has critisized it
All current PMP's use earphones as basically their prime method of letting the user listen to the movie... so why would Apple not include headphones again?

it's actually amazingly easy to get an invite, sites like bytetest.com is a good start. In the last week I've had 250 invites given to my account by gmail and I've sent them all to gmail spoolers, so seriously there are enough to go around.
yet all major mp3 players and more specifically portable movie players have harddrives in them... I do not want to have to keep buying storage, even a 5GB harddrive would be better than having to fork out $$ for enough sd cards to sufficiently fit all my movies, mp3's and any games on them.
Now that harddrives are becoming so small and the price isn't that bad, I reckon they are really limiting their device by just supporting SD, especially when they try and flog it off as a portable movie player. I'm sure if they stuck in 20gb hdd and had to add a tiny bit onto the overall width people wouldnt moan and you'd probabaly get more sales out of it
and this doesn't apply to people posting about their cars specs or their houses, thats the just how humans are always trying to impress others no point trying to put it down just to gamers

If you have any problems with WMP10 then try out VLC videolan.org, and they should go away pretty quick ;D

You say modern technology as if it's better, yet for performance and price reasons CRT is clearly the way to go

This is Microsoft we are talking about, once the counter hits zero I'd give it another year or two...
