That projector also means that you either have to tear up your room with a ceiling installation that you can't take with you when you move, or have a noisy fan-cooled projecting sitting right next to you and a cone between it and the screen where nobody else can be. PITA. My 61" DLP works great since I lack an ego-driven need to feel l33t.

I had to multiply all my answers by 10 to see if they changed. I got an HP 15C in 1983 and it's still going strong. The first battery lasted for 12 years. *12*.

Believe it or not, WA != Seattle. I live in Snohomish County and the sales tax is 8.something (it varies by location). Part of the abusrd Seattle tax rate is the two big mostly-empty sports stadiums that we voted against, but which were built anyway after tearing down the Kingdome, which had a new roof that wasn't even paid for yet. So, if you want to place blame, look to the wimpy AL pseudo-baseball extortioners and Paul Allen.

I haven't physically been to Queens, but from what I see and read about the place, it's not where the parent posts wonders are to be found. Me, I didn't go to college so I could live in a crappy apartment under someone else's control, to hear neighbors carry on night and day on five sides, to be subject to their stench, etc. I also don't plan to die before I stop working, so building equity matters too. I often hear the all-night thing -- but what exactly is it that one needs to be able to do at 4am that's unique to NYC, other than being mugged?
