Though I've played my fair share of MMOG's(SWG,EQ2,COH,WoW and many more) i've never been able to recieve the amount of benefits that lagging has to offer in SOE's games.
I played WoW before I bought SWG, the reason why i went to SWG in the first place was the proffesion system where you could mix and match professions as you see fit. WoW's classes and skill system just pissed me off in general. Most of WoW pissed me off, to the point where i would attempt to play it but i just couldnt. So eventually i just let my subscription wear out.
Though recently i let my SWG subscription wear out (it wore out a week before NGE went live) but thats only because i got tired of grinding skill xp and it was dead.
The new game system does tempt me, but i may pick up MxO and then subscribe to the SOE's All Access thing. But who knows?
Well piracy isnt really an issue because basically anyone can have a copy of the game, but they need an account to play it, and to get an account you have to enter a serial number that's printed on the manual.

We have a cable service called foxtel digital and they started showing interactive advertisements, a little box pops up on the screen and when you press the interactive button on your remote it brings up a menu that has contact details and you can type in your email address to get more information, i think with one of the bank ads you can book an advisor to come to your house.
