  3. The only reason why MS is behind HD-DVD on China To Develop Its Own DVD Format · · Score: 3, Interesting

Is because they put it in their Xbox360s. MS couldn't license or didn't want to pay to license the Sony Blue-Ray, so they had to go with HD-DVD to give more room for the programmers to give game content. If Blue-Ray becomes the standard, then the Xboxes that are coming out will only be game consoles, not home entertainment pieces. They would be forced out of the living room since DVDs would be Blue-Ray only, and wouldn't play though their Xbox consoles. This is why HD-DVD is so important to them, not because its better format.

Yeah, I had trouble trying to get a domain to shorten my url down so I can ust it for mail. I would natually use dtg.com, but hey, some big ISP took it, and their name is not even close to these letters. They are holding onto it for no reason other than to not let other people use it. Same with a bunch of domains that my friend wanted to use for his business. All of them taken and being held for money, spam, or nothing at all.

If you didn't know, the Office for Mac is actually in the Entertainment/Or whatever department. It has to compete with the Xbox team to get funding, which we know the Xbox will get most of it going to the Entertainment department. So, its the red headed step child of MS. So their main programmers are 100 percent for Windows and Office for Windows.

If it works in Firefox, on any platform, that will drill a hole, and set the dinamite for IT admins to start pushing FF more in the corporate invironment. Maybe Linux might follow soon after.

Safari on OS X has the little X on each tabs. Makes it easier to understand that you are just closing that tab. The only bad thing is, if you have to many tabs open, it makes a drop down list on the right for the ones that ran out of window space. But if you choose one, you don't get an X and there is no way to close that tab without killing others to get it to show up in the tool bar area. Other than that, I love the tabs in Safari.
