First the plauge carrying mice disappear, and now dolphins with dart guns might have gotten loose. Maybe we are the third smartest species and they're just building up their arsenal....
Yes and things have really improved from OT to NT. Used to be that when the system crashed, you were down for 40 days, with NT you're back up and running in 3.
I actually still have the Amiga Joyboard on which the "Guru Meditation" supposedly took place.
If I remember correctly (and this may be apocryphal at best) they developed the Joyboard so that they could be seen doing something while keeping the OS work quiet. Supposedly one of the programmers would sit on the Joyboard (kind of a joystick that you stand on) and try not to have any of the contacts hit in order to clear his mind when he got frustrated with all the coding, hence "Guru Meditation".
I get DVD's from the local dollar stores once in a while, tapes too. Granted, most of the stuff is B movie or old movies, but there are some winners in the mix. You really can't beat a copy of "This is Spinal Tap" for a buck!

"I have multiple computers in my home and use the primary one to make online purchases, yet I have never noticed a price discrepancy when browsing the same items at the same online shops using my other computers."
I'd hazzard to guess that they are looking at either your IP address (and just see that network as one computer) or login information. I suppose you could set up multiple accounts, vary your buying habits on each, and check the results, but that's just as much (or more) work than shopping around and doing some price comparison.
If you are familiar with Easypass you know how this will revolutionize things. According to one bill, our car passed a Parkway toll near the Atlantic City Expressway and entered the Lincoln Tunnel ten minutes later.
First I thought "What a bunch of clueless nerds". Man was I wrong. These guys know that the premier won't be there and they're still staying to raise money for charity?
Just what we need, more bug eyed cartoon freaks. Is there some sort of contest among the anime people to see who can do a whole cartoon in the fewest frames? Can't they be a little more..oh, I don't know, animated?
of the Redmond King?
I wonder if they are building on the work done by the folks at Ong's Hat.
"You do such an excellent job, I wish I had ten of you around here. Hey, wait a minute!...."

That's one long Goto statement.
"Cool case mod."
"What?"
I hope this isn't going to be anything like the escalator to nowhere...
By underclocking their computers in order to save electricity and slow global warming.

I'm a big fan of open source software. Somehow I'm not as enthusiastic about Open source bioengineering...
Given the outcome of last years race it'll probably be more like Farfromfinishing.

Where'd you find a tie-fighter in 1974?
They already tried out this idea on The Simpsons. It didn't go well.
"All hail Mandriva, lord of the Moons of Jupiter!"
Am I the only one who finds "...describe a technique for aiming ultrasonic pulses at specific areas of the brain." a bit disturbing?
Star Wars nerds? Maybe. Good People? Definately.
