    It is incorrect, IMHO, that Hyperthreading and increased performance are related, at least on server platforms. Unless the server applications are concieved with multithreading in their design, it would be incorrect to assume that Intel HT would somehow figure out the assembly code and facilitate performance.

    This is a very old news. Not sure why making rounds on /. now. Whatever it is, minimum wage in US is about 5$/hour. That's sort of salary someone in India/China gets per day. This is true at least until wages in India come up to comparable levels, i.e, 2$/hour. Only then we'll see measurable shift from outsourcing to insourcing.

    With no viable Operating System development, and no hardware development (assembling a PC is not), I wonder if HP is a technology company at all?
