VB commercials show overweight, middle aged men enjoying a beer after a day's hard work.
And they're quite good ads, too. They then spawned some spin-off radio ads, which can
be viewed here
If only it was available in Australia:-(
But speaking of available in Australia, there is a huge shortage of 3rd party games.
They just can't make enough of them. The system was launched here today, there are
virtually no NFS: Carbons, and Open Season, Tony Hawk and other games have had their
release dates pushed back. Fortunately there were plenty of Zeldas available, so I
have enough to keep me busy until the supply issues are fixed up.
I think the biggest problem with the PS3 tilt sensing is the form factor.
I just can't imagine it being all that natural to use when you have to be
holding the controller with both hands.

Australia may have a population density of just 2/sq.km, but over 70% of the population live in the largest 10 cities. This compares to 26% for the USA.
You'll find that Australia's population is a lot less evenly distributed across its land area than the USA's.
You have to remember that with Blu-Ray, the PS3 is easily worth more than Sony is charging, as evidenced by the fact that Sony is taking a loss on each one sold.
No, that just means that its not worth making. Though not really. To me, its definitely not worth the price. To others, its well worth it.
Actually, according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ps3Wikipedia, it will be released to China
the same day as the US. That does cut out a fairly significant chunk of Asia.
However, after reading the linked article, its only Hong Kong and Taiwan, a not-quite-so-significant chunk
of Asia.
Well I would own the copyright. So I could sue my kids!
Of course I should wait until my parents are out of the picture first.
I don't want to give them any ideas.
I don't know what it was called, but it was a rectangular orange box, with two controllers with just a wheel knob on each.
There were four pong variants, which basically just changed whether it was single/two player, and if there were walls along the top of the screen or not. There were a few switches on the console that would change the game, the size of the paddles and the speed of the ball.
Does anyone here remember this, and perhaps know what it was called?
Yeah, 90 is fine. But when it gets to 105-110, its just too hot.
That said, I don't have an air conditioner, so I just pray that I'm at work those days.
We've been able to pre-order pretty much since the release date was announced.
But then we don't even know how many units we're getting yet. The Nintendo of
Australia president said it would be at least enough to fulfil pre-orders though.
But I really don't think there'll be any shortages here though. I only bothered
pre-ordering because Toys R Us is giving away a free game with every pre-order.
It'll probably turn out to be a crappy game, but hey, its free, and might be good.
I hate the random on my car's MP3 player. It doesn't keep any memory of what has been played or
anything, so you sometimes get the same song twice in a row, but thats no problem. What sucks is
that if you skip a song, it doesn't go to a new, random song, it goes to the next song in order!
So if I don't feel like listening to Ben Harper at the moment, I have to either skip every song
of his on the CD, or turn random off then on again.
Australia: Feb 22
Alas, in Australia they're released on Fridays, so its a lot less likely that we'll get a Christmas present.
This is Dubai. They don't seem to need a point there.
Give me an apartment in perpetual shadow. No more glare on the TV!

Hrmmm. I remember there was an EA logo on one of the tracks in NFS: Hot Pursuit. Does that count as advertising?

Apparently some talk show host. It seems he's a bit of an idiot, but then what talk show host isn't?

I lost you when you started talking about the primary seasoning or relish served as an accompaniment to food.
There was a Lost Vikings 2?! This I have to find!

Yeah, playing an ID game before would have helped heaps. Commander Keen was terrifying ;)

But... Exxon is Mobil
Sid Meier founded MicroProse, so I'm sure he could've managed to keep the rights.
Clearly they didn't realise you read slashdot. Girlfriend indeed!
