Don't know which is worse, users, or this media distortion, acting like educated people using "computer jargon" are to blame. It's not jargon when everyone is now required to know what it means. Computers are ubiquitous. Deal with it.

I believe that they should have designed the mouse for both right and left handed people, but....the molds for the injected plastic parts alone for this mouse probably cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. They would also need to have a completely different circuit board, to reposition the button to the other side.

It's simply not economically feasible to create two versions.

And being a righty, I'd prefer that the mouse conform to my hand rather than just being a symmetrical lump of plastic like the Razer.

I do all of those searches you mentioned (except movie listings)right in google.
As a matter of fact, you can type "define foo" in google, and it will give you a definition. And if you type a word and wikipedia or just wiki in google, the wikipedia entry will be right at the top. Same with IMDB.
I also like to search wikipedia. I get there by opening google and typing wikipedia/enter.
My point is, google is the PERFECT place to start on the web. Anything you want is a few key words away. Built in spell check.

This isn't about "incredibly high standards of NASA." They knew about the fuel sensor problem months ago. They didn't get it fixed.
Then, during the final checks, they realized, "Hey, if this fuel sensor doesn't work, the ship will blow up," so they scrubbed the mission.
That's not being "risk-averse" its plain common sense.
I think the real incompentence here is that they went to the launch stage without fixing a problem they knew about months ago.
