If you do that, say goodbye to free unverified email. I like to be untraceable sometimes. Not because I do illegal things, but because I do things I don't want the world to know about. And yes, there is a difference. You have to take the good with the bad. Do I want spammers and phishers in the world? No, of course not. But I value my own privacy and annonymity enough to deal with it.
You know, I heard this rumour the other day...careful who you repeat it to, I wouldn't want to get anybody in trouble...but I heard...now you must keep this under your hat...that there's this magical thing called...listen closely now...an attachment. Apparently it lets you send, like, files and stuff. Over email. But shhhhh. I think it's in beta.
I'm in my second year, doing computer engineering. And yeah, it's hard. I wish I had the courseload of my girlfriend, who has less than half the number of hours in-class a week than me. But at the same time, I'm actually learning how to do something. Not how to get a masters, not how to get into law school, I'm learning *real* skills. At the end of my 5 years (doing co-op) I'll have 20 months of experience as well as an education that means something. I'll be a professional. Yeah, maybe I'm young and foolish and the real state of things will become clear to me later on. I don't know. But at least I'm not like the thousands of arts students taking classical studies, anthropology, and women's studies.
Also, I RTFA, and how the hell can you screw up a titration that many times??? Once you do it once, you know roughly how much you're gonna need, so next time you slow done 5mLs before that. Not hard. At all. Anyone mathematically inclined who puts in a fair bit of effort can do well enough in engineering. Trust me. I read/. instead of studying, and I'm getting through it fine.
Anyway, yes, students are leaving Engineering. Good. All the more demand for me to cash in on.
If I remember correctly, the last link you gave was completely independent of google. Some clever comedian just copied the standard response and it ended up at #1 on google for a time, so if you'd hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button you'd end up rigth there. Anyway, all google did was build a search engine that let people find that. why would they have legal troubles?
Whoa there cowboy. Anybody who's anybody knows that the worst movie ever made is PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE!!! It stars* Bela Lugosi, and is about aliens who plan to take over the earth with zombies, or something. Doesn't matter. Written/directed by Ed Wood. To sum it up, worst.movie.ever.
*By star, I mean he died 4 days after shooting began and Wood reused the same footage over and over again, except when he really needed a new shot, when he had the same character played by a man with a cape over his face. No, I'm not kidding.
Ok, so you make enough money to feed and clothe your kids, and keep your wife happy, and therefore you happy. That's fair enough. I think most people realize that some amount of money is necessary to be happy and healthy. I also think the point being discussed is another entirely; if you have 2 boats, do you really need 3? Do you need a house AND a summer house in order to be happy?
Yeah, it's hard to be happy if you don't have food or a place to sleep. But would you be happy if you had all the money in the world and no time to sleep with your wife or hug your kids? I sure as hell hope not.
I often wonder whose 'rights' are they protecting,
The copyright holder's. Not that I'm agreeing with DRM, but I do know that that's the general idea behind it.
I mean, rights aren't supposed to be taken away from you no matter what, right?
What in modern society gave you this impression? Some rights come with conditions. You break the law, you lose the right to live free. You can't yell "fire" in a movie theatre, even though you have a right to free speech. You have a right to practice whatever religion you want, but not if it involves hurting other people. You have a right to free press, but not to slander and libel. etc, etc, etc.
What damage is it causing? Wasted bandwith? You think any police anywhere in the world will take that seriously? If these files were viruses, MAYBE you'd have SOMETHING of a point. Otherwise, no dice.
It's nothing new, people. If you've been arrested, they can get your DNA without much trouble. I'm not wearing my tinfoil hat or anything. The handcuffs were on too tight? Great, you left behind a load of skin cells. Took a sip of that coffee the nice officer gave you? Well, it's their cup, and guess what, you left saliva on it.
If they want it, and you're in their jail cell, they've already got it.
a cd/dvd drive, a good sized hard drive, 3 usb ports, a fan, a mouse, etc.? Are those also additional add-ons? I'm sorry, but for me, those are non-negotiable pieces of a computer.
And everybody gets cheaper goods in return. What's the difference to the American economy if money goes to some rich guy in China as opposed to some rich guy/company in the US? (I'm assuming he/it is not going to spend a big whack of it devoping the economy, because we all know that most money in a corporation doesn't touch anyone but the top 1%.)
to end this DRM nonsense. Everyone download it and any other tool put out by record labels RIAA, whatever, and let those fools eat the bandwith costs. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
You ever put yourself in the cop's shoes? What do you do if someone, looking mighty suspicious, runs away from you when you ask him to stop? I don't mean walks away, I don't mean argues with you, I mean runs. And before you answer, think of this: what would happen if the guy did have a bomb and the cop didn't shoot?
It would be great to have perfect non-lethal ways of stopping someone, but we don't. And I don't care what you think, if you're going to run away when the police ask you nicely to stop, you really can't expect them not to stop you.
I thankfully, do not know any details about mine. A friend, however, was conceived after a Christmas party at which her mom got too drunk to remember her diaphragm, and actually fell asleep during the act itself.
Don't give them any ideas.

Why not include Firefox? Or Opera, for that matter. Choice is good, and choice between free things is even better.
The irony here is that that was the point the parent was making. Sarcasm, people, sarcasm.

3. Ninjas will never have their own holiday. What would it be, International Move Like a Ninja Day? *ghosts silently away*
The first rule of IMLAND is you don't talk about IMLAND.
Incidentally, it's next Tuesday. But shhhhhh.

you could just use two cameras back to back. Unless I'm missing something really simple.

you could just use a flashlight, almost certainly saving an assload of money.

The females do have two or four mammary slits either side of their genital slit, on the ventral side of their tail.
:D
Sounds like fun.

Which begs the question: if current trends continue, how much longer will be even be legally allowed to do it?
Out of curiousity, what was the drug?
You know Beta comes after Alpha, right?
Mod me informative for karma!
I honestly can't tell from your post: are you trying to say that it's a good thing or a bad thing Google gives Mozilla money?

Go on, top that.
