"without [..] rendering obsolete the broad and rich set of Web-authoring techniques developed over the past decade.'"
Maybe not, but it sounds like it will render obsolete most computers developed before the past 5 years. Nothing before Windows 2000 is compatible with the new version of Gecko? It sounds like something is wrong with that.
I'm still plugging the Rio Karma, even though they're not made anymore. 20 gig hard drive, Ethernet support in the dock (so you can use its internal webserver/java applet to upload songs over your LAN), OGG & FLAC support.. the list goes on. I believe there's an iTunes plugin for Mac users, which is good because the Windows software sucks.
You can find these pretty cheap refurbished. I'm pretty sure they're off the retail shelves now.
Exactly why we need to have the various mail systems and courier companies keep strict records and analyze all packages, as well. Anything for the sake of "security."
I'll be looking out for anything Takahashi is a part of in the future. The Katamari series is brilliant and a real break from some of the uninnovative games we've been subjected to lately. Whether it involves rolling things up in a ball or not, I'm looking forward to seeing what he does next.
I don't see anyone who wants a PS3 not waiting a few extra months. I doubt anyone who wants a PS3 will decide to buy a Revolution or 360 just because they're out earlier. I know people are mostly impatient, but if that's what you really want, you'll wait.
I agree. In my past two Rio MP3 players (one flash and one hard disk-based), WMA files (without DRM) significantly decreased battery life anyhow, compared to MP3. Unfair comparison.
My 20gb Rio Karma has a variable-scroll thumb wheel. It's more natural to use, and in a more ergonomic position than the click wheel. The player might not be as cute or trendy as an iPod, but I find the interface more intuitive than the iPod's.
Okay, the software sucks, which is why I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends. But what other MP3 player has an ethernet port for network uploads!
if you happen to have a ham radio or a police scanner, you can tune in when it passes your city!
Unless, of course, you're in an area with BPL.. your scanner probably won't work.

We can all sit on blankets with our girlfriends and hold hands while we watch this.. oh wait..
Makes me wonder how 2pac or Biggie would feel about this. I guess we'll find out on their next albums!
According to his blog, Verizon has contacted him and said they'd waive half of the data charges. They still don't get it.

welcome our Dark Overlords. Voldemort will rise again!
I suppose querying Google for a medical diagnosis isn't much sillier of an idea than asking Slashdot for technical advice.

Isn't this why Vader wore that mask? Sorry, I missed episode 3 so I'm not sure.

What does the "storage" of a DVD have to do with this?

Time to upgrade to pro, then!

How can someone say something that crazy and be taken seriously? Who does he think he is, Dvorak?

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with having a Xanga.
If there are holes, we can just replace them with frog DNA.

There was life before Wikipedia?
And how is that off topic? It directly relates to something that was said in the article.
Too bad it's not Godwin's Law that's dying.
What part of that was worth pasting?
