You sooo need to take pictures of this! I would really be interested in seeing what a slashdot effect can do to a computer. Actually I just want to see a computer on fire.

Anyway, any clues as to when the server could possibily be up? This looks interesting..

Are you saying you didn't like Bill Nye and Wishbone?!!

I literally grew up on those shows. I basically watched only PBS. Now I just watch Discovery Channel.
I spend most of my time in my room on the computer when not at school. However I do get outside. I bike to school. I volunteer at the local theatre, so I am not inside all the time. I have been under limits, but they just don't work. I mean, I had all ready been on the computer for hours before so imposing limits would be stupid. Like the parent said, teach your kids that they only have so much time. Imbed it into their minds so they don't become used to spending longs hours on the computer.

Really? I thought it was on the CBC on Tuesdays. Here on the west coast it is at least. However, I download them on saturday via bittorrent so I can get them the same time as the bris do.

I agree. If I get a new game or software program, I don't read the manual first (I probably should), I just mess around until something works the right way and I get what I want. In games, just hitting every key on the keyboard will help me figure out what works and what doesn't.

Thankfully my dad is somewhat good with computers so he rarely gets a virus. However, when it comes to my mom on the computer...

I don't think ANYTHING will ever beat the ability to sit down in a comfy chair and read a good book. The digital aspect is nice, I mean in the future they may figure out how to make it work well, but until then, nothing beats sitting down and turning pages.

As long as they make it at a reasonable price. I don't want to be paying $40 a month for four or five shows that I download. I would think that they would offer 'packages' of some sort. Or maybe like the system slashdot uses. You pay $40 and you have so many downloads.

    I agree with you there.

I listen to some Canadian and local bands and I find only a few songs on iTunes and a ton on P2P. I would gladly buy the songs legit, but they just don't sell them in stores, so I have to either buy them off the bands' site ($++ for S&H) or get them for free off of P2P. It gets even worse when I just want to listen to one song.
