You sooo need to take pictures of this! I would really be interested in seeing what a slashdot effect can do to a computer. Actually I just want to see a computer on fire.
Anyway, any clues as to when the server could possibily be up? This looks interesting..
Are you saying you didn't like Bill Nye and Wishbone?!!
I literally grew up on those shows. I basically watched only PBS. Now I just watch Discovery Channel.
I spend most of my time in my room on the computer when not at school. However I do get outside. I bike to school. I volunteer at the local theatre, so I am not inside all the time. I have been under limits, but they just don't work. I mean, I had all ready been on the computer for hours before so imposing limits would be stupid. Like the parent said, teach your kids that they only have so much time. Imbed it into their minds so they don't become used to spending longs hours on the computer.
Really? I thought it was on the CBC on Tuesdays. Here on the west coast it is at least. However, I download them on saturday via bittorrent so I can get them the same time as the bris do.
I agree. If I get a new game or software program, I don't read the manual first (I probably should), I just mess around until something works the right way and I get what I want. In games, just hitting every key on the keyboard will help me figure out what works and what doesn't.
Thankfully my dad is somewhat good with computers so he rarely gets a virus. However, when it comes to my mom on the computer...
Microsoft = daleks
Daleks want to take over the world
Open Source = The Doctor
The Doctor tries to prevent the Daleks from taking over the world..
IT IS ALL MAKING SENSE!!
I don't think ANYTHING will ever beat the ability to sit down in a comfy chair and read a good book. The digital aspect is nice, I mean in the future they may figure out how to make it work well, but until then, nothing beats sitting down and turning pages.
As long as they make it at a reasonable price. I don't want to be paying $40 a month for four or five shows that I download. I would think that they would offer 'packages' of some sort. Or maybe like the system slashdot uses. You pay $40 and you have so many downloads.
I agree. I have one teacher who is just a purely amazing at history and his lectures will keep your attention forever. Heck, he doesn't even bother using the big TV in classroom like all the other teachers who use it for presnenting powerpoint.
That is right. When our kids are old enough. We will deny that SW Ep 1-3 ever existed. Along with that, why not through in every other crappy sequel ever made. The Matrix triology comes to mind.
Seriously.. the NOOOOOOOOOO spoiled the whole movie.
I agree. On my calculate there is a function that does this for you. It is a TI 83-Plus so I guess it is a little more advanced that this, but hey, there is a freaking function to do this.
Yah, I have been visiting that site since day one (before they moved to googlesightseeing.com) and I don't see how. They give credit to google everywhere. Heck, they just provide a link to the actual site. I don't see how that violates the terms.
But seriously, that is just pathetic. $250 million on a failed project. I know there are TONS and TONS of researchers that would just DIE for $1 million.
I listen to some Canadian and local bands and I find only a few songs on iTunes and a ton on P2P. I would gladly buy the songs legit, but they just don't sell them in stores, so I have to either buy them off the bands' site ($++ for S&H) or get them for free off of P2P. It gets even worse when I just want to listen to one song.
I flew them last spring when they first were introducing the service. It wasn't finished yet but it looked kinda pointless. I mean, do you REALLY need to talk to your friends? I mean for business people it would be useful but I have read that an airplane is the last place where your company can reach you.
IMHO STFU & RTFA!

Will it have a real ending?
I mean, how could you not like them!? I think that is impossible!

Of course. We have a 108" HD projector. We don't ONLY use it for TV. Xbox looks kick ass on it.
It is real. http://www.epic.org/privacy/terrorism/hr3162.html
You mean the
'Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act'

I can't wait for the next episode. Looks awesome.
I get it now!!!

I just listened to this podcast the other day from http://www.sciencefriday.com/pages/2005/Apr/hour2_ 042905.html
The entire show was dedicated to this.

He wasn't onto anything. He found nothing. Nothing at all. He did not hack into our databases or steal information. Never happened. Never.
So that explains why the US has a huge debt!

And in the middle of the phone call, in a smaller voice, you will hear ads about what you are talking about.

Damn it. You stole what I was going to say.
You know, I just created a bunch of those guys and got money from the enemy and won. I hated that game.
