Yet, upon further examination by the Arecibo radio telescope, an excerpt of audio in a continous loop is being transmitted from the area. It contains the following messsage:
"What's the word? Thunderbird!"
If you are near one - http://www.batteriesplus.com/ recycles ALL battery chemistries for free. And I mean, you can recycle a couple boxes. A pallet - well, that will have usually a $50 - $75 surcharge for driving a truck out to pick them up.
DSL has a law forcing them to unbundle it from phone service. That law does not cover Fios. You CAN buy FiOS internet service a la carte. I have done so, and use a 3rd party VoIP provider to boot since last June.
That would be no big deal if they allowed you to use your own router, but they don't. Bullshit, I've been using a Pfsense box with Fios I made a year ago with no problems, and no calls to support to use it. DHCP or PPPoE would both work with aftermarket routers. I will concur though that it does blow the crap out of the stock Actiontec.
Strange, I'm on VZ FiOS and Callvantage is the BEST VoIP I've used. I'm using it right now. And I have used before Sunrocket, and Lingo.
It really does now sound better than POTS.
I'm south of Pittsburgh, PA, and I conenct to their NYC servers via 4-5 hops I believe. So where are you located, and where are you connecting to?
And as an AC suggested, ask for a more modern modem. I have a very new D-Link with the Callvantage, and it works swimmingly behind the router, no fiddling.
Wow, you really think that something checking on something that you put in a PUBLIC infrastructure is the same as something in your PRIVATE residence? This is not quite the same case. And don't argue about the fact that roads are public infrastructure, and go to your residence, I know that. But something was put on the web to SHARE information with anyone who wanted to view it. Caveat emptor if she was worried enough about this happening that she didn't make it into, say, an email mailing list that wouldn't get indexed.
At least in my area, I am aware that every single polling area is full of people who have been running it for 40 years on average. They really have stopped caring about issues of the future, and more about more discounts for them now before they die, because hey, they'll be dead when issue "blah" becomes relevent!
To increase accuracy and quality, I bet using citizens of US military draft age (18-21 primarily) would help, because they will give more of a damn about future issues.
Darl has now gone from rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, to throwing them overboard...

Erm, Nokia ring a bell? (pun intended)
Erm, no - more like editors at Broadbandreports.com have been using it for years

Wow, I almost died of laughter. This is why I read slashdot : to read about Sputnik, then get comments like these :-)
Wow, I had to really tilt my head far to the side while listening to that. Listened to it multiple times for a grand total of... ten minutes!
Hmm, oddity as well to note that the captcha for this post is Drunken...
If I could refocus Linux Development... I would try to pool all the development into 1 distro to reduce duplication of so much effort.
Holy Shit. That is ALMOST as good an explanation as any for this nonsense... my goodness, I like their plan!!!

Only old Koreans would lean to turn a C172. It's all the rage now to do it in an Antonov, n00bs maybe can get away with a Starlifter
And which phone in Venezuela has all these features? This is not mocking; I am genuinely curious.
And next you were going to say it has a "fortune you have" to account for, or a fortune "you have to account for" . Sheesh, my head hurts.
*pulls iPhone out of pocket*

My goodness, that actually sounds like a reasonable solution!!!
Funny, my captcha is "investor" on this post...

Yea, and this Iran stuff just isn't helping me either...

Michael Richards? Are you there?
Awesome. Thanks for the link.
While definitely sarcastic, isn't it incredibly displeasing that this IS a part of what you think when you hear "Enterprise" Linux migrations?
I cracked up on that, felt as random as Monty Python, thank you EmbeddedJanitor for that.
