its quite simple I think.. people who are certified obviously have the better chance of getting the job.. it doesn't matter if you're good at tests or not..
if it says on your resume that your certified, then you'll obviously get the job over someone who isn't certified..
companies are not entirely stupid though.. I think most educated HR personell, will look at a resume, and choose someone who has more experience as opposed to someone who has been recently certified.. I personally have 2 certifications from Brainbench.com.. its not the best place to get certified, but most of their tests are FREE, if you want the physical cert its like 7 bucks to get the nice shiney piece of paper with your name on it.. Its not much, but it looks good on my resume being that I'm a linux administrator.. there aren't many certs for Linux guys to begin with, so ANYTHING looks good on your resume..
HOWEVER, if you're obviously shooting for a job thats Cisco admin related, or you're a programmer, or a Windows Admin, then you will need that Cert in order to get the job you desire.. its that simple.. its much harder finding or even getting a job regarding the fields I listed above, without a cert..
bottom line, its all a matter of what you specialize in..
never mind i'm just stupid.. i loaded up the desktopbsd sourceforge page at work where i'm on dialup.. the server timed out cuz of how slow our connection is.. the entire navigation menu didnt even display.. but i'm at home now, and i see it! haha whew..
i'd love to try it out.. the website says DesktopBSD 1.0 is out.. but there's absolutely no information about it.. you cant download it.. you can't do shit.. where is it!! where's the content!!
pretty fun watching that demo.. all the graphics almost look like simple vectored shapes, lines, colors, etc... i'm personally tired of 3D rendered graphics and video games using textures.. its like they steal textures from real life, and import it into the video graphic.. i like seeing real art incorporated with the graphics of a video game.. same with an original Sound track.. seems like a lot of games nowadays have some top-40 songs on there or some shit.. where's the originality and creativity gone! these kinds of things, even though they aren't using the most up to date technology, can be equally as enteraining..
All these people want to do is to promote THEIR idea of how they think we were created.
in my opinion, this could be very bad for Religions.. The great thing about keeping religion OUT of schools, is saving the religious view from being criticized.. think about it.. depending on the teacher of course, the religious view of creationism will be in serious danger of being much more criticized when in a equal comparison of evolution..
if they wanna promote their religious beliefs, do it another way! these fundies and faith groups have so much fuckin money.. let them promote their view themselves!! NOT USING MY TAX DOLLARS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.. i'll teach MY kids that shit myself if I want them to know about it..
GAY... c'mon MS.. what a total rip.. that drop down on the left, is awfully slow too.. does MS really plan on beating out google on all of this?? or is it just an attempt to make some extra pocket change??
i guess their search engine gets good promotion thanks to MSN.net customers, and all the bias turds that simply love their news.. well hell, this wouldn't be the first time they make a killin' off someone elses idea..
The Codeweavers Cross Over software would be better.. might as well just buy that instead of something that resembles windows completely.. Even still, the CrossOver software is rated "Silver" on the Codeweavers website..
"Silver
This application installs, and runs well enough to be usable. However we find it has enough bugs to prevent it from running flawlessly."
has anyone tried this with Photoshop?? it does say that it runs, but I want to know wether or not its worth it.. is it fast? can you use ANY windows app or ANY part of the CS ??? Maybe i'll just install Debian or Gentoo then use the Codeweaver's software..
but then I think of the kids you could send to college for $200,000.. or even the house you could buy for a family in need.. yes it would be wonderful to see space, but thats still a lot of fuckin money.. it drives me insane to see how people just throw there money away.. it would be absolutely brilliant to see space.. but how can anyone have it in there heart, to waste $200,000 when they know they can just as easily use it to help people?
hahah awesome.. i wish i could listen to some Art Bell.. i hear so much awesome stuff about his shows.. i find the History of the Annunkai, Nephillim, Nibiru, and all sorts of other crazy conspiracies, very fascinating.. is there a internet stream by chance??
Everything on the internet is free as it is.. You can get free internet access at libraries.. It should simply be offered as means of convenience.. It would easily attract customers, as long as you promote it.. But you should also have some kinda of "log book" that logs each person who comes in and uses the net.. because people could get away with "trading child porn" or other means of anonymous surfing.. hrmm.. i don't know.. running myself in circles here haha..
It kinda confused me when I saw a article regarding "Planet X".. i was thinking it was the planet Zacharia Sitchen wrote about and how it's inhabitants screwed homo-erectus and created homo-sapiens.. Planet X refers to the 10th (and or) 12th Planet.. Annunaki!!
these things look amazing.. think about it though.. for YEARS there have been amazing inventions that could save us from ever having to high electricity bills, or substantially reduce the amount of energy we consume from limited resources..
and for YEARS the government has stopped things from being marketed simply because of how it could destroy the economy.. i say fuck the electrical companies.. surely some people will be out of jobs, but its a small sacrafice for the millions out there that require this kind of technology. glad to see this is becoming more of a wide spread interest..
i personally enjoyed the camel book.. i've always sucked at programming.. i understood regular basic programming and that was it, for such a long time..
the camel book refreshed my memory and brought me to the basics of programming.. like learning about variables and arrays.. the book definitely gave me a good review on the concept of programming.. then it takes you right into examples, and practical uses.. i'll probably pick up this 4th edition.. sounds like a bargain..
baaaahahahahahahahaha!!!! now THATS news!
and we all know cindy sheehan is a scholar..
no really.. just suck it..
