Personally, I'd bar all corporate contributions and allow unlimited personal contributions, from anyone eligible to vote

Companies have just as much if not more at stake in the political process, they pay taxes, but can not vote. This is the only way companies get any say in the political process.

Selling games like lesiure suit larry to kids under 18 is not a good idea, even if some kids are exposed to sex before that. There is a fine line that needs to be walked between protecting minors and stopping them from viewing semi sexual, or semi violent games. Unfortunatly the government is too big to toe this line, I would look to the MPAA for guidelines and hold retailers accountable if a game like lesier suit larry is sold to a 13 year old.

After the 1st couple attempts at hijacking the the vechiles the hijacki's numbers would be much smaller. I imaging that the vechiles will have a manual over ride and can be driven remotly. The real danger would be someone attaching a bomb on the vechiles and having it detoniate once inside a base.

The more pertitant question would be can it be done cheaply enough to cost less than gas and the awnser is no. Synthic oil costs more than regular because it costs more to produce.

Your example would be like GM selling a car and saying the owner can not resell it. Even with apartment rentals the tenant can sublet the apartment to another person even though they don't own it they still have the rights to use the apartment as they choose. So the renting the music for life arguement does not work either the only way that they could even claim that the buyer dasn't have the rights to resell or break the drm on the cd is if they explicitly disclose on every CD (not fine print) that the person only has the rights to listen to it on their approved media.

You can use the library network to check out the book from another campus and can keep it for 2 months with a 2 week late fee the books cost is $10 (which I still owe 7 years lator). So the money the library is loosing must not be too important. The libraries will still get their grant money and with no books to take up all the space, they can add more computers.
