It will be interesting to see how this factors into the gender selection battles in China. It is currently illegal in China to perform an ultrasound or a sonogram for purposes of telling the parents the gender of the child. There are clandestine ultrasound techs who drive around with the machines in their trunk and flee when the cops catch wind of what is going on. This could turn all of that on its head.
I know someone who works for this company, and it looks like a really great idea. Of course he said the problem was that Andersons always push for huge breakthroughs instead of incrmental developments. He used to always complain that they would never get a product out. Maybe they will though. Maybe they will
Try as I might I can't find a connection between Sigma Automotive and Texas A&M. The only other chatter I see about this on the web are on hybrid enthusiast sites..........I smell a rat.
Personally, I thought it was funny that two women independently complained about the "cheesy... crappy" quality of black porn, relative to porn made for whites.
I find this statement particularly humourous becuase of a personal experience I had while teaching in a school in SW Philadelphia. One of my students stumbled on an unfiltered porn site while on a computer that was connected to a projector........of course you can guess the results.
What makes this so funny is that later on one of my co-workers (she and I are both white and the students and most of the other faculty at the school are black) said to me, "Did you notice that all the women that popped up were white?" 30 some 8th graders get exposed to a whole screenful of dirty pictures and that is the best she can come up with?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
That would mean generating the valuable cells without using a human egg, and without creating a human embryo, which some people, including President George W. Bush, find objectionable. = FLAMEBAIT
I got a chance to hear a little of the concert on NPR and it sounded great. I really enjoy classical music so I think this is great. It is funny people have been saying for decades that classical music is going to die, but if this kind of thing keeps up there will be many future generations of classical music listeners...................thanks to Microsoft,Sony, and Nintendo.
I am huge AMD fan myself, but this has me a little worried. If they can really prove their claims great for AMD, but if not I fear they risk looking like SCO and becoming the brunt of many jokes.
My brother in-law has what he calls the Guido proposition. That is that everyone in the country should pitch in 1 or two dollars a year to a fund which hires big guys named Guido and Luigi to fly around the world find these virus writers and spammers and well..............I think you get the picture.
That would be so much better than jail time.
Dott and Maniac Masion were two of the first PC Games I ever played (we had Amigas for most of my young childhood). I still think that that game holds some of the best video game quotes ever.
Damn that Doctor Fred........Hey She knows our family motto
This must be that Woodstock place my parents are always talking about..........Bernard float over here so I can punch you.
And the part about getting vacuum cleaners written into the constitution!!!!
Ethanol has long been a problem. The real insteresting prospect is the company up in Canada that is creating ethanol from the woddy portions of plants with a genetically modified bacteria see this slash dot story http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/01/0 7/1846247&tid=14
A joke comes to mind that has to do with a gun for firing birds at high speed trains to test thier wind shields and has the punchline of thaw the chicken..........
The first is from George Patton :
"Fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man."
The second is from Karl von Clausewitz:
"If you entrench yourself behind strong fortifications, you compel the enemy seek a solution elsewhere."
I think these speak volumes
So this means they will have antoher 1,500 people whose only function is to tell you they have to send your laptop aways for 2 weeks to do a 15 minute harddrive swap???
So microsoft has what like 50 billion in cash reserves? Why don't they just do a bug bounty and like $50 a bug. Like mozilla did. 50 billion/50 = 1 billion bugs they could find and fix that would hav to make some kind of dent right....................oh wait never mind.
I don't think US carries have ever been that interested in supersonic aircraft. One of the biggest hurdles is the prohibition against going supersonic over land which would drasictally limit the number of possible routes. I would make sense for Japan to do such research in that much of thier flying time would be over water anyway. I will be interesting to see if this actually catches on though. Boeing was working with the Russians for a while and nothing panned out there. Nor did anything pan out on the mach.98 plane they were designing.
Just to be clear the replacement surgery on a pacemaker is almost always done on an outpatient basis with local anesthetic.

So is this just more proof that Apple is distancing themselves from Microsoft in an attempt to join forces with Intel and rule the world!!!!!!
