Yes, maybe we mispronounce certain words, and maybe we misspell color, but at least we got one important word choice correct. We spell check the correct, original way, instead of the silly Cheque that developed later.
Generally speaking, American-English seems to take the less elegant, more brute force approach to the English language, especially in pronunciation. Probably due to a combination of factors, but I'd wager a few bucks that some of our pronunciation changes are due to our populations non-English language ancestors who couldn't pronounce the words correctly, so they pronounced them as they were spelled.
Shoot, Dell must be one of the most green companies, besides providing me with a box and paid postage to return my Sony-made incendiary/battery, they named the recall program Project BumbleBee! Hopefully it isn't named for the buzzing sound right before your battery goes critical.
Watch the launch (and landing maybe, not sure) on CSPAN next time. Nothing but the NASA radio chatter. The cameras aren't as good, but they don't have tickers everywhere.
Don't get your panties in a twist. Over here in the colonies, we generally refer to it as "The London Times" because most of us have a local "Times" such as the New York Times. Chances are the submitter has a different "Times" to which he subscribes, or not.
Probably not...
Even if it did, there's a good chance it would be localized to everywhere besides the United States, because we just don't "get" watching soccer.
I haven't seen an original mac go cheap in a long time, but I have seen a Lisa go for under $100 recently. Aside from Ebay, Hamfests (ham radio version of a computer show and sale) frequently are great places to look for older equipment.
Spray the external fuel tank with a thick coat of EZ-Cheez. The incredibly high fat content should insulate the tank nicely, and any debris will just leaving cheeZ-ee marks on the side of the shuttle That way, it will really look like it has been around geeks. Some soda stains might help.
Only a mere sixty-four megabytes of memory? 640KB is all you really need...
Seriously, nothing on the web should crash a machine with 64MB of RAM. Get real. This is a toy, and a broken one at that.
Third party apps? I remember the DaVinci...
You know, the funny thing is I was wondering if were weren't going to see the exact opposite of what Dvorak is predicting yesterday when pondering boot camp with the local Mac zealot. It struck me that Boot Camp might be the first step in a Microsoft purchase of the Apple OS, allowing Apple to concentrate on being a hardware company. With the delays and problems with their future OS, one can imagine Microsoft quitely purchasing Apple's OS line, or even just licensing it, rewiring the GUI to look like Windows. It would solve some of their security and stability problems, and chances are that they could pull it off without the average user noticing the change.
They wouldn't do it because the supply and demand issues with providing free cars would simply be incredible. Remember Soviet Russia, and those weren't technically free? Remember waiting on long lists just to give your money to Honda? You would have to apply years in advance for a car, and then only be shocked when somebody bumped ahead of you for bribing somebody? It would turn these already bloated companies into massive private bureaucracies... Oh, and by the way, thanks for giving them the idea.
Just remember, when lawyers were writing the Declaration of Independance and the American Constitution, doctors were using leeches and scraping pus INTO wounds, and computer scientists were just a twinkle in some copper deposit's eye.
Maybe lawyers are the origin of all life on earth.
As a Maryland voter, I was confused as to why we went to touchscreen voting anyway! We had a relatively new optical system (I called him R2D2 because of the size ans shape of the device that ate your ballot) that worked great, and was relatively fool-proof, I mean, it was a huge sheet of paper with big holes. We replaced that simplistic approach where dozens could vote simultaneously with dozens of little computers, of which only two or three were "allowed for use" at any given time, to conserve battery power. Needless to say, the systems were less than fool-proof as well. For once, this GOP'r actually is pleased with the Democratically controlled Maryland legislature.

Montegomery County IS the rich neighborhood, just not all white.
What is a cv?

The current version still has the word spread around it.

They actually did make small touchpads that hooked up to the ps/2 port of a computer. I know because I had one for my IBM L40SX, which had no internal pointing device, being originally designed for DOS. They were designed to make people without touchpads on their laptops feel special, I think. Some companies still make them: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00008XPAR/103-76 63121-8304644?v=glance&n=172282
They also make models with integrated keyboards:

The bigger question is, if porn were to choke the internet, would the internet like it?

Actually, it is kinda making me feel somewhat nauseated. I don't like the skinny font and wide open spaces.
Huh?

This story broke, like, months ago. I assume they have finalized plans? I refuse to RTFA.
Please, Google sometimes tells me it cannot calculate directions 1/2 of the time. 3/4 of the time when the directions are outside of the state.

Been drinking the eco-kool-aid a little?

It is still March.

I believe only the F-35 has a single engine design (still stupid for Navy, but worked fine for F-16), while the F-22 is equipped with twin engines.
Wow, somebody needs a cookie and some juice.
