Yeah. It would be sweet if someone would release the Metal Slug series (Neo Geo) on a conventional modern console system. They are some of the funnest Contra-esque side scrollers I've ever played.
Dude.. There are Metal Slug two games released on the GBA and there is a complete collection being released for the next generation games.
I have to say Mega Mario very fun to play with. There is one secret area where there are nothing but pipes and a mega mushroom . Watching Mario destroy the entire area really is quite entertaining. Mini Mario is also fun with those secret little pipe areas that lead to midget goombas. Not to mention the fact that you actually have to use him to reach the two secret areas. This is very challenging because you have to butt stomp to do any damage. I have to say Nintendo took the best of all the Mario games including one stage that reminded me of the Doki Doki Mario Brothers where you could just keep on running right until you popped out on the left screen.

Frankly, I cant believe this tech couldnt have been done already, even twenty or thirty years ago. I have to imagine we've had the tech to do adhesiveness on demand based on an external stimuli ( such as electricity ) for many years. We have had the ability when the opposite material is metal since atleast the beginning of the space race, but even sticking to any surface on demand shouldnt be too difficult.
what kind of a jackass....? use a fucking relational database! I don't want to think how blazingly slow that big of a spreadsheet would be, not to mention any dataset that large is going to almost certainly be something that is supposed to be used by more than one person at a time
Actually, this is kind of handy despite what you are thinking. I once had to chart a large amound of data that was just x and y values. I needed to dump that data into some statistical program just to seperate it into useable values. A specialized program designed for processing data couldn't handle all of that data. Then again this was a special occasion.
In Python indentation determines scope. This breaks with naval tradition, in which it is the captain decides who gets to use the periscope next. Python also breaks with recent computer programming convention, because apparently it is usually the guy with the braces gets to decide. Damn teenagers.
Given any real number n, there exists a real number m greater than n. I was saying the prices would be inflated relative to what they would be without AMA's noble intervention. Of course it's going to be expensive. AMA will make it so that in America, it's much more expensive than it would be in other countries.
Yeah. You missed might point completely. My point was that the price point is going to be so high that it ends up being a zero sum scenario irregardless of outside influences.
At least with a doctor right there I can hear him say, "Oops!" instead of trusting some doctor who can mute his microphone from a thousand miles away -- and, damn it, they better guarantee
I don't know if I were to wake up and hear the doctor say opps during my surgery I would have to think it would be because I woke up in the middle of my surgery.
What makes you think that this is going to be cheap?? The only robotic surgery on the market (Da Vinci) is so expensive that people question whether it actually saves people any money even though recovery time is quicker. Not to mention the training involved. Da Vinci was such a radically different way of performing surggery that it took a long time for doctors to get used to the devices. Doctors actually had to abort surgeries because of the complexities. No, I don't think this will be a source of outsourcing anytime soon. It will be useful for rare surgeries though.
I don't like installing toolbars, but you can dink around with the suggest feature here
Thank so much. I was wondering why google at one point was trying to complete my search terms for me. It was driving me crazy because the number one search term at that time for Mythbusters was concerning their sexuality.
A backfire is used to burn out a fire by depleating it's fuel. Hence the term fighting fire with fire. It's really only useful for forest fires though.
ven i remember witnesses saying things like car-bombs, truck bombs, and even missles. Which witness do we actually trust? The ones the government backs up?
Ahhh.. You have just pointed out a a problem with witness testimony in general with crime. I don't exactly know how it works but generally with very stressful events we tend to screw up our ability to remember things in great detail. We get the gist of what happened but the details get lost. What you are describing is the exact phenomeon. People knew that something went boom but in the chaos they had no idea what happened because they were running for their lives. Meh, maybe I'm just too paranoid. Anyone know more about this? Is that a possibility?
Yeah it's possible but it's the equivalent of shooting yourself in the foot. Lets ruin this guy's carreer while at the same time ruin any credibility of a product that works that was created legitimately?? They Chinese government would have to be idiots to do something like this. They have enough problems with intellectual property issues.
There's a threshold though. If I do something stupid and 8 people see, I might shrug it off. If I do something stupid and 80 people see, I might not hang around that part of town. But if I do something stupid and 80,000 people see, then I might be scarred for life. It's just not meant to work that way.
I can see this being abused in so many special ways. I really want to start dancing in front of the security cameras. Maybe I shall start my own television show by standing in front of the security cameras. Come on. Tell me you haven't danced or waved at those security cameras in stores. What will they arrest me for? Dancing in the streets of London. Muahahhahahahah....
Should I say it? I'll be dammed if someone didn't take the same tours that I did. It's sort of interesting to go on two different tours and have them both point out a library that has a book bound in skin. It's not even like there were 1000 other things that happened in this place that weren't more interesting. Too bad it's not a public library and you have to pay a yearly fee to use it. Pretty interesting story too. A psycho killer wrote a book and read it. Realizing at how deranged he was he had his skin bound with the book to give to the family of those he killed.

A physics professor and his assistant are working on liberating negatively charged hydroxyl ions, when all of a sudden, the assistant says, "Wait, Professor! What if the salicylic acids do not accept the hydroxyl ions?" And the professor responds, "That's no hydroxyl ion! That's my wife!" -Joke from Dexter's Laboratory
I've always wanted to understand this joke, from many years ago. @___@;;; I was reminded of this joke today when we talked about hydroxyls in biology and chemistry.:XD:
To liberate is to set free. The point of this joke is that it's saying that a negatively charged hydroxyl ion is equivalent to a professor's wife. Hydroxyls, which contain at least one hydroxide (-OH), are alcohols. Does the joke mean the wife is drunk? I then researched salicyclic acids and I found out that salicyclic acid is a plant hormone used as a medicine for acne. More importantly, it is a carboxylic acid. We learned in biology today that an ester linkage is formed between a carboxyl and a hydroxyl, and in this case, salicylic acid and hydroxyl ions create aspirin, the pain reliever. Now isn't that cool?:D Lastly, the hydroxyl ion is NEGATIVELY charged, so the wife has had an excess of alcohol. Basically, therefore, the professor was only trying to give some aspirin to his wife, who has a hangover. ROTFLMAO.
Btw... I find it creepy that googling this returned six results.
Anyone else find it funny how all the Asian people are shown playing as a happy group in a bright clean, well lit room, playing colorful games that look super-happy fun; while all the American dudes have greasy hair, and disturbing expressions while the play violent games in a dark, cave looking rooms?
Actually, it had to do with the fact that it looks much more appropriate for a person to be playing Metroid Prime/Other Shooting Game in the dark than to be playing it in a bright happy setting.
It seems to me that this wasn't a symptom of "coding" but of the inactivity caused by the "american way of life".
Nah... Let's face the fact humans were never designed to be sitting down for 40 hours out of the week. It's simply not natrual. I'm in pretty decent health right now and I've noticed that having a desk job for the very first time does make my legs very uncomfortable when I sit for extended periods of time. It also appears that beign tall doesn't help. It seems like a pretty good concensous when looking up DVT that one of the causes is sitting down for extended periods of time.
Okay, seriously: what is the point in this? I mean, it's cool and all, and it probably demonstrates some serious technology, but where would it honestly be used? I don't think a lot of octopuses have had their tentacles amputated lately.
Hehehe... I've been expecting this since I went to the Robotics confrence in Boston last year. A lot of search and rescue operations can only be done with a camera on a stick. The other alternatives are simply not viable. Unfortunately, a camera on a stick is usually hard to navagate around the rubble. Hence the OCTOR can improve the mobility of this method because it can bend and move at the end of the camera.
Hmmmm.... Imagine if the entire population of Slashdot each received one. Think of the possibilities. Also, can't this be considered Slashdoting something physically.

Note the first wheel and the third wheel are not the same despite looking similar. I get what you are trying to say though. The ICE is capable of running off hydrogen gas if designed correctly. Even the mythbusters managed to get a car running by only using hydrogen gas. Why we need fuel cells a bit confusing.
