seagate's warranty is 5 years. i don't know what people do to their drives these days, but i might have a few drives that are beyond your magical 1.5 year limit, still working, without the use of an industrial fan, 24/7. what the hell are you doing to your hard drives?!
how many average people actually know of find-as-you-type? i'm willing to bet that they came across it by accident. the average person will still always use ctrl-f, because that is what they have always used.
