Its a very wide spectrum. I know very few people who modded their Xbox 360s, because if they get caught MSFT disables them from playing online - a pretty severe punishment.

Not that big of a deal since the ban only bans the console and not the account. You can replace it now for $200. I'd say the biggest drawback to modding a 360 is the fact that you have to void your warranty by breaking the seal and opening the box. Then again, now it is only a $200 cost to replace. Pirate 4 games and you've already more than covered the cost of getting banned or a RROD failure. Also, who cares about being online in single player games such as Fallout3, Mass Effect, Bioshock...?

I'm still using an IC7 (dash nothing) and it has been working very well until the last few months with a minor issue. This is the longest that I've ever used the same PC (five years). I disconnected the motherboard fan due to noise within the first year and never had any problems. Now the only issue that I have is that I have to hold its hand while rebooting. It often freezes at the initiation screen. Simply resetting it gets it to properly boot. Before that I only used Abit boards and built about 25 PCs back in the day and used mostly Abit on those and any time that I used something else I had stability issues.

As far as my employment as a design engineer at two out of those three companies is concerned they were using many Unix based systems. CATIA was widely used on IBM AIX machines, but now the latest version of CATIA (Version 5) is native to Windows. The CATIA port to Unix was very poor and is no longer supported at my company. As a result, most of the AIX workstations are being mothballed as new projects begin.

Blizzard added Need or Greed to WoW in a later patch. In the old days you would send a text of "n" or "g" prior to rolling for loot. The "n"s would get first shot at the item and roll amongst themselves if there was more than one person typing "n". Otherwise everyone rolls for greed. If anything Blizzard just incorporated customer feedback and didn't come up with this looting system.

It's going to take them awhile to adapt to the idea of plugging the bandwidth as a home utility rather than a feature of your computer. Which is actually a good thing, because the bandwidth doesn't quite yet exist to play true TV or Movies on demand.

That's odd because I've been using Comcast's On Demand feature for months now. It's nice to be able to watch any missing episodes of HBO specials when you wish. Granted, you can only choose what they have to offer at any one time, but the bandwidth to do this is there.

If you aren't sure what this feature is about... it allows you to pick a title and watch it with rewind, ff, pause, play, and stop/resume. They have a list of shows that are available for a few weeks and are replaced with other titles as those expire. For instance Sopranos Eps. 1 through 5 are available now and will be replaced with eps. 6 through 10 when their time is up.

The amount of water would simply be kept below 910,000 lbs (747's maximum takeoff weight) minus the empty (no water) tanker weight. It looks like they chose 24,000 lbs of water for this configuration. One thing that I would be concerned about is sloshing of water that would throw the aircraft off balance. A solution to this would be many seperate water tanks that would minimize this effect. On thing that I couldn't find on the site is if they are using a commercial 747 or a cargo 747.

I'm not sure that metric is much different than U.S. ANSI sized paper. ANSI A is 8.5" x 11", ANSI B is 11" x 17", ANSI C is 17" x 22", ANSI D is 22" x 34", and ANSI E is 34" x 44". With this you can have any size sheet twice as long in one direction or double the size all around. From what I see Metric A() sizes do the same thing. The difference is that one is in inches and the other in mm. FYI, I'm in aerospace design engineering and usually use none of the above, but instead use other sizes that are 22" tall, but very long.
