Actually the most influent ISP here just experimented something they called F-ADSL, which could give us 175 Mbps down and 18 Mbps up. And with a ping of 48 (and I'm in southern France).
Nice try bitch, but just document yourself before making up this kind of shit.
Well, they only blame P2P software here. They want to punish editors of software that allows the exchange of files without any mean of control. They wanna control the exchange of files probably to catch people who download DiVX and MP3.
So suing people who downloads MP3 will be fully legal, since P2P software that doesn't give them a way to analyze traffic will be outlawed. They want a P2P software with rootkits, or spywares.
If this law is voted, I'm moving out of this country.
I guess they install OpenOffice and Firefox on those "small children" computers, because they don't have to learn Excel or stuff... Some of the courses in high school require a perfect mastering of Excel. And only Excel mastering will get you a job, nobody cares if you can use OOo.
But they usually install Firefox all over the place. And if it's not we usually install it over, and screw everything on their badly locked up computers. Shitty Netware network.
Sagem is already making something like this in France, with an ISP called FREE.
You get 20 mbps, digital cable, Internet, phone, router functionality, Wi-Fi coverage, along with Ethernet and USB ports... VoD is almost here. The box is called a Freebox. They added a few months ago something cool: you can stream media from your computer to the set-top box, which is plugged into a TV.
And you get all this digital goodness for something like $35 a month (30).
Maybe it's because they show the covers and the table of content... And also because they sell it afterwards. Like in a library, just seek through a book then buy it... If you use Google you're not in an "buying mind". And then you have Amazon, an online store. I guess that's why.
They bought a bunch of "Learning to code" Boardgames, so they found out who actually coded and who was there only to clean the keyboards, but pressed the keys in a certain order that produced code;)
Well that's the case for GSM communications. Every call gets rerouted from your base emitting station. For example the first time my phone was powered on and my SIM card activated, I was near Monaco (next to Nice, France). Since then I can call Monaco without the international code, thus saving money if I call there. And I pay the normal fee while calling French landlines or mobiles. From anywhere (in France, at least)
Well that's not what says my webserver. Since there's only one command to be interpreted you do not need to say to PHP "here's the end of this instruction, everything after that is unrelated." Therefore, you don't need it in that case.
You could do that, but then you would need some mobile phone repeaters and all that stuff to get all those radio waves that you would need. So yes, overkill.
Aww c'mon. If they were really hiding something, do you think they would let Google just get real images from the zone? If they're indeed hiding something, they just took various pictures around, with lots of sand, and they just drew some stuff with photoshop, to make you think some exciting things are happening here.
Exactly my thoughts.

Greets from the French Riviera!

And how do you pass genes to your kids if you can't have kids?

Did you ever see one of those iPod HDDs? it's a PCMCIA card, really small, 60GB at the time being, and il will grow...
Does it support WPA? WEP? If it doesn't it's not even worth it.

My bad - I was talking about MP3. Thanks for the link anyway.

I thought AAC was owned by Thomson Labs (RCA)/Fraunhofer and that you had to pay royalties to them in order to use it?
Or maybe it's only for encoding... I'm kind of confused.
I came, I watched, I laughed my ass off.

Well that's why we always say here in France, but they just tell us to fuck off. We have CD-Rs for almost 2$ a piece FFS!
Just saw the US trailer for the movie. I think it's not really accurate, you can see all those penguins walking on that war-ish music...
:)

Here's the french one. I think it is way better than the US one, but maybe you'll think the US one was better. That's why we have 2 trailers

Well that something valuable to know, since I'm going to buy a camera soon.
Sony made some Mini DVD Camcorder, so there's no problem with gummed heads or what not.
And you can play your movies directly on your DVD player.

"The Design Rationalization and Mutation of C++"
Actually he thought about it, but the title with the font they just bought wouldn't fit the cover.
Maybe from Matrix? You know, the blue pill, you stay on Windows, the red pill, you choose Linux?
And also, can it carries coconuts?
