You will never get rid of it. Any attempt will be filibustered like shit even if I have to go down there and feed the filibusterer myself.
Not a problem, Obamacare was passed only because they could use reconciliation to bypass a conference committe. The same tactic could be used to repeal it.
We also need a public option for legal care. If someone sues you, you get a free lawyer and if you want to sue someone, you get a free lawyer. The government can set the reimbursement rate.
Finland was even ahead of Denmark and Sweden on this front. Anyone with an up-to-date comparison between different countries?
It would be interesting to compare the individual US states. The summary says the US has a 7% cash economy, I wonder if some states are higher and some lower.
AT&T isn't really advertising falsely, the data is unlimited. The speeds are limited.
They should be ordered to clarify their advertising and say "3G speed up to 2GB" or similar.
I bought a 6' fence one time that was 33% off. Come to find out, the 33% was off the hight, not the price so I ended up paying full price for a 4' fence.
I think it may be bad everywhere. A college campus in NC got locked down because someone saw a man walking with an umbrella slung over his shoulder and reported a "man with an assault rifle" to police. Buildings evacuated and dozens of officers from who knows where went on a man hunt.
High horse Norwegian, here. I'd like to point out that Norway's electricity is already 100% renewable. Right now. 100%. So much for "waah waah it can't be done." Incidentally, I pay about the equivalent of USD 0.04 per kilowatt hour in Oppland. Probably less than half what you pay. Deal with it.
You need to go and update the wiki page that claims Norway gets 42% from Fossil fuels.
Once they started doing SUVs and minivans, which were nothing but re-badged Chevys, it was clear that they were merely a duplicate division so getting rid of them was easy.
The only "real saturns" were the S series made in spring hill. To the best of my knowledge everything else was somebody elses car, rebadged. They had several rebadged mid sized cars too, seems like they rotated thru them every two years or so toward the end. I donno about the minivan, to the best of my memory they tried rebadging everything but trucks and minivans, but in their death throes maybe they offered a minivan for a short period of time.
I had an L series wagon and it had the plastic panels so even though it was similar to other models, it really seemed like a Saturn to me.
Maybe, I don't know about the internals of it but from what I saw, Saturn was turned into a clone of their other divisions. What started out with small plastic paneled cars (S series) was very much competing with small import cars. They added a mid size ( L series with plastic panels still) version and did OK.

GM built Saturn up over its first decade and then destroyed it with model inflation over the next decade.
Bush gun walking was done with the intention of interdicting the guns at the boarder using tracking devices and aircraft. It was botched and ended up allowing 450 guns through to Mexico. It could be called a failure, no problem there.
Obama era gun walking was done without any effort or intention to interdict the guns but rather allowed between 2000 and 12000 guns into Mexico.
One was a botched law enforcement operation, the other seems outright criminal. This explains the cover up.
A lot of bloodshed could have been avoided had the policy at the time been "if we show up to inspect and are delayed, we level the facility." Do this once or twice and they would have come clean.
I think the main reason the Navy doesn't put ski jumps on the gator carriers that the USMC takes off from is because they don't want to sacrifice the space that could be used for helicopter operations. Those carriers are mainly used for landing troops with the Harrier playing a supporting role.
Nike Premium Shoes. Cost to make £4 materials $6 labour. Sale price (USA) $200.
Now how much more does labour cost in the USA than China? Tenfold increase? That'd be a $260 trainer, then. Or £60 less profit.
I wouldn't be surprised if we found that the $200 sneakers sold with high margins but didn't sell nearly the volume that the much less expensive shoes most parents buy for their kids one or two times a year or adults buy for themselves every couple of years. The materials and labor costs are probably not much less but they make up for the low margins with high volumes.
If we ended the Federal Breeding Subsidy in the U.S., we could reduce our carbon footprint as a species in very short order. Even better: $1k per child tax ($200 federal, $800 state). Would help pay for schools too.
You are so not going to make the cut as a Republican candidate.;^)
This is how it really works, deposits are insured, not the banks. When one is about to go out, the government usually brokers a deal to turn over it's operation to another healthy bank and dissolve the failed bank (If it can't work it out I guess they just pay everyone with a deposit off but that can be messy).
A much better way to improve umpiring is a challenge/replay system like other sports have implemented for the purpose of reversing the most egregious calls. There is already a system in place to use replay to check home run calls but nothing else.
There are a lot of issues that would have to be considered in order to implement a system in baseball. Foul balls called fair can easily be reversed since everything resets back on a foul ball but you can't always go the other way and reverse a fair ball (in the case of a home run but that is already addressed now) that was called foul since the foul call stopped all action at that point. Reversing a call at first is trivial in many situations but not always (a third out will stop all action but if it is reversed and others are on base, they could have moved to other bases or scored on a safe call).
Football has some of the issues but usually the thing that is challenged are play stoppage issues anyway (was the ball carrier down before the fumble, was the receiver in bounds, did the ball cross the plane of the goal line).
You will never get rid of it. Any attempt will be filibustered like shit even if I have to go down there and feed the filibusterer myself.

This is an example of a DA protecting his guys. They should face an obstruction or purjury charge of some kind for every case that is impacted.

So the French can go on a tear when led by non-french.

The Norks are tiptoed around be cause they are a protectorate of China. It has very little to do with Nukes.

They should go to China and stage a protest. Perhaps they could take tents and camp out in a park.

They wouldn't make the cut as a Democrat either.

The Troopers where I am from have a saying. "Nine, your fine, Ten, your mine."
That is bad but I get tired of assholes driving the same speed side by side while only going 7-10 MPH OVER the posted speed limit.
If you can't get past the guy in the right lane in a minute or so, then give it up and get behind them.
Richard Pryor was hilarious in that movie.

Since everyone is coming up with odd ball destruction methods, I say dump them.
Drill a hole in each one then charter a boat to go off shore and toss 'em in the ocean in deep water.
Gone forever.
