Completely off-topic (label it so if it pleases you), but I didn't get this story in first. Darn anonymous coward:-P
I 'spect the PS3'll be the last console to launch stateside.
A) How does barring minors from such games violate free speech? Last I saw free speech just allowed me to say whatever I wanted, not do whatever I wanted.
B) I don't see anybody complaining about the fact that minors aren't allowed int an R[+] rated movie. In my mind games kind of fall under the same category.
"photo-realism is nonetheless a worthwhile technological achievement to aim for, because it is through this that games will attain the sensation of a lucid dream."
Yeah, in other words let's make video games the new crystal meth:-P
Could this be a step towards a single IM protocol? Not XMPP, but good enough for me:-)

I love WinXP. I personally have never had a problem running XP (been using it for about 3 years now). It looks great, it works great, what else do you need?
At least this article gave credit where credit was due (unlike IGN's recent controller article). Nintendo came up with almost every controller idea and was subsequently ripped off by everybody else. I'm sure the Revolution controller will be just like all their other ones... Revolutionary!
I'm glad to know I'm not the only person out there who's used Firefox and still prefers IE, though I use IE because of speed and simplicity (couldn't care less about tabbed browsing).
I was wondering if Sunnyvale even felt it, because I slept right through.
You should take up the basics of web design as one of those hobbies...
I thought Windows Phone 7 apps were coded in Silverlight and XNA?
Silverlight and XNA are APIs/libraries that sit on top of the .NET framework.
How am I supposed to program BASIC on this thing? My poor pinky will get all tired...
I guess Wired was a little smarter than Gizmodo.

Of course, you have to make it to the first palace first :-P
Sideways, frontways, slantways, backways and all the other ways you can think of.
As long as it illuminates pixels on a TV I'll be happy :-)
btw, first post ;-)
Is Sony trying to make sure the PS3 is a total and absolute failure? Do they even have anything at all?
Oooohh... my bad. I'd always thought that movie ratings were law enforced.

In about 11.38 million years. I hope that doesn't dissapoint you too much.

Bingo
However, he's given us 20 years of revolutionary gameplay. Go, Mario!
And with the snap of a finger... NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST!! Seriously, I doubt it'll be used.
Yeah, kind of hilarious to read an MS bashin' article while a Visual Studio.NET ad plays :-P
It just wouldn't be slashdot without an anti-Windows article now and again :-P
For those of you who have had their hands severed by their father, relief has come!
A quarter of a millions, eh? That could be anything up to 250 million :-P
