    Real gamers own systems that have games they want to play, and they don't let anything get in the way of their enjoyment of a good game. Me, I have to turn in my "Real Gamer" card, because I've been eschewing video games in favor of sex. Somehow I fail to be depressed by the loss of my status...

    Yes, now you only have 23 hours 59 minutes and 37 seconds to play games and post to slashdot instead of the full 24. It must be a crippling burden to deal with, and I'm glad to see that it hasn't affected how much of a tool you are.

    Also, 3 times the shader capability seems to be lost on you. Your 7800GT will hold its own currently but once the shader intensive games start coming it will get left behind.

    Yes, and by that time a new generation of cards will be out which will leave your X1900 in the dust.

    I like the Gamespot system, as well.

    I also don't usually read the reviews on websites, which apparently angers the people who write them. Waaah. It's easier to read Game Informer while I'm taking care of umm...non-gaming "business."

    Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, Lethal Enforcers, Virtual Racing, Cruisin' USA - do these titles ring a bell? This was the arcade scene in the early to mid 1990s

    If you throw in Daytona you've pretty much got today's arcades...

    I have a total of 2 games on DVD. UT2004, and Quake4 and I had to jup through hoops, multiple stores and in one case order it from overseas to get ahold of the DVD versions..

    But thankfully you saved upwards of 90 seconds of installation time!

    Way to go!

    Yeah, because if someone owns a PS2 and likes all their games, there's no way in hell they'd ever want to play those same games that they love on the bus. That would just be stupid!

    I say this as a DS owner: if you can't understand why having a portable Playstation 2 and it's associated franchises would appeal to a large number of people, you're an idiot.*

    Sony said the same thing about the PS2 (toy story quality real-time renders), and we all know how it turned out (looks great to be sure, but nowhere near Toy Story quality).

    If you have a source for someone at Sony saying this, I'd love to see it.

    Anyone know of any *good* IMAP mail clients for Win32?

    There is this one...the name is eluding me. Lots of large corporations use it in their offices. Seems like it was made by the largest software company on earth. Crap. If I can remember what it was I'll post it, but the outlook on my memory isn't so good.
