    In my quest of getting my new mobile phone, I have tried the UIQ version of Symbian on W950i. It is much better than the Windows Mobiles. However, the best hand writing recognition system belongs to Motorola's A1200 and ROKR E6. It is very quick with very high accuracy in both English and Chinese. The ROKR E6 is what I end up getting. Plus, it run on Linux!

    Nokia had to resort to using a 4.1 inch LCD! Just imagine how much better the browsing experience would be if it a 12 inch LCD, or even a 7 inch LCD, if the battery would last!

    In a mobile computing device, there 3 parts consumes the most powe: CPU, storage and display.

    Looks like Intel is going to solve the CPU power usage issue here. NAND flash pricing and storage capacity is catching up. All we need now is a cheap and low power consumption display. TFT LCD is alright for mobile phone is because the LCD is not on most of the time. However for MIDS, people can browse the web for hours, it would really kill the battery fast.

    So, until LCD can significantly reduce power consumption or other technologies (E Ink or OLED) rise to the occasion, there would not be a really viable product.

    This sounds like some grand standing of a politician passing useless law to "protect kids". Anyone with a passing knowledge of the internet knows this is useless.

    Not only anyone can get any screen name and email address anyway they want it. Next thing you know, people will be setting up the "virtual neighborhood" off shore.

    This is one of those feel good law with some truthiness in mix!

    Agreed, instead paying loads of money on the movie right or NFL/NBA/NHL. The game company with their own franchise can take control of their own destiny and keep cost down. Just look at Zelda, Doom, and Civilization. All you need is good game play. However, the game developer would not have anyone to blame if game bombs.
