  2. Can't wait on Mandrake Linux... Not Dead Yet? · · Score: 3, Funny
I can't wait for 9.1 - The installation will really clean up my system. After each release, I start installing rebuilding development cooker rpms, and by this time, my system is in such a state of terror that I haven't been able to compile a program for like 4 months :)

But with a new release, I'll get everything on the same page... and then repeat the process until 9.2!

But this is cool, they need more metalheads in there so I'm gonna try this out. I doubt it'll be able to recommend me anything useful because it won't have many people listening to my stuff.

    5. Sell pathetic, untested crap to big motherboard manufacturers, guaranteeing you will lose business... idiots!

    7. More idiots try to cover up how much of idiots they are - yeah, like it won't get uncovered... idiots!

The only people that aren't idiots right now is IBM and any big manufacturer buying these boards. They can't test every little thing... but jesus what a series of idiocy

  5. Bummer on DALnet For Chatting, Not File Sharing · · Score: 1
This is a big blow to me. As a regular dalnet user in the metal community (#mp3_metal, #mp3metal, #mp3_death .. so on), I've had to recently become a refugee user on Undernet. I even started sharing my stuff -- Until I realized how much undernet sucked. Barely anyone sharing, too many leeches, small queue sizes... I even got banned because I had a few Rage Against The Machine songs in a metal channel (it is kinda metal... jesus sorry for sharing over 2000 songs)! I promised that once dalnet came back, I'd begin sharing there and giving back to a community of cool guys.

I guess not. I'll miss those old channels, we actually share lots, and buy even more.

  6. Something else on Cloned Cat Not a 'Carbon Copy' · · Score: 1
One thing of concern to me is that these people want to eventually allow cc, the cloned cat, to have kittens. They say that cc is a perfectly normal and healthy cat, but do they know that?

Now they allow cc to breed, and then its children breed, and so on and so forth. What if there was some sort of genetic malfunction or mutation in cc that nobody knows of right now though?

These doctors may be starting an evolution of their very own, by introducing cloned animals into the wild like this (or has this already happened with pigs?)..

I've ridden a segway at my old company (they gave it to us because we made parts for them). It is very cool and very easy to use! I loved it!

However, I do understand why this is banned. It's too wide and too fast, and would cause absolute chaos if it became popular on the streets of any big city. This is a good move, and San Francisco is solving a problem before it even happened.

I went through the resolve sequence (I am an ECE), but have yet to experience whether or not it will be good for me in the future. I think it will be.

OSU's administration definitely makes it a shithole, and you don't even want to see south high street anymore (barren wasteland waiting for builders to come set something up), and crime is the same as usual.. but you still won't find a better party school or overall education in Ohio.
